the situation for US is different from Malaysia market, in US all the airlines are now recalibrated to open new leisure travel line since business travel stopped. In malaysia both leisure and business travel are stopped. people cannot move between states, that is a complete different operating environment

Doubt you read all of them. but well.

VietJet Air, a low-cost international carrier operating in Vietnam and one of the very few to make money during the pandemic, reported an after-tax profit of $3 million last year after moving to boost its cargo capacity and ancillary services.

China are unaffected. With vaccine in play, whole market probably will open sooner. Flight gotta go somewhere. with more option open, people are more likely to travel.

Who said China are unaffected? all the big airlines in China are losing big money, the aviation and tourism giant HNA just gone bankrupt. China are not going to let anyone come in without 14 days quarantine anytime soon, no leisure travel to China are going to happen until quarantine rule are dropped.

I have been saying that AirAsia is among the most interesting company in Malaysia and forward looking compared to the vast majority of other KLSE counters which are more targeted towards the uncle aunty demographic. There is a reason why the World Economic Forum, Mckinsey & Company, Bloomberg and CNBC invited someone like Tony Fernandes for talks and not someone like Lim Wee Chai from TopGlove, it is because they find Tony Fernandes's ideas interesting.

Also. Some Malaysians will be not interested in getting vaccine. But if gomen issue vaccine cert to allow u to travel to help create heard immunity, people will be begging for the vaccine. Also imagine this, there will come a time where masks will be no longer a thing again, guess who will be allowed first to not wear mask? Vaccinated people. So as a whole, the industry will recover like it dipped only inverse. And company like air Asia if they survive this winter, the prove to be a fundamentally strong company on the books to survive a black swan event.

Chill... I am talking pre-pandemic obviously. Don't need to get butthurt because I didn't say nice things about TopGlove. The reason why I talk about TopGlove is because they were obviously profiting from this pandemic and yet, not one international news outlet or international organisation reach out to Lim Wee Chai to talk about his successes. Probably it has something to do with their labour exploit issue. They have a lot of criticism to say though.
