When a companies services is lousy it's shares also will show like that up down up down. it should not be happening for a rm10 over counter..you're talking about a drop of more than 12% and it is still going to slide further to touch rm15. sigh.. been watching this counter earlier this year and still find it dangerous to go in...careful ya everyone. The last resistance barrier is rm15 and if it still continues to drop then free fall.
Quarterly report out today. Did better than last quarter. EPS 29sen. Q2 only 21sen. Didn't declare any dividend as last year. Wonder whats troubling the counter. Anyone got advice
any one know is CAR ratio ? i have check though the defination but still not sure what is it about ? look like the requiment from BNM is 16 % .. any one know what is CAR ?
Statement by Aeon Cr (In todays Sun Paper) not going to call for rights Issue but raise funds through Sukuk. Good news, but wonder if dividend or Bonus Issue coming?
I think that is caused by Local Financial Institutions selling for profit taking before Budget announcement. Might be a good chance for accumulate, hoping that it would bounce back by next week and even further up for the coming Quarterly Financial Report. I think it could be achieved rm20.20 by year end as RHB targeted.
AEONCR understand distinctly the burden of the investors running around sourcing for new fund to buy the Right Issue if they had to call one. Now that they opt for Perpetual Bond / SUKUK instead of Right Issue, the burden has been shifted to the public instead of shareholders like your and me. Of course if your want to buy the Perpetual Bond / SUKUK you can still do so but they are usually issued in tranches of 10 mil and above.
AEONCR super growth engine is still strong. AEONCR has recorded unfailing above 30% compounding annual growth of net profit for the past 8 years, an achievement that hardly any Malaysian company can achieve.
Let me add to PJTrader's remarks. Well, we can say Public Bank also achieved comparable growth in its earlier years, but its net profit growth now has slowed to about 13% due to its sheer size. Lets see Google which have listing 9 years ago without paying any dividend, its share price had skyrocketed from $85 to $1011 today, creating many millionaires within its shareholders. Remember "growth way outweigh dividend income". So I would personally encourage investors to participate in AEONCR’s sustainable growth now! I hardly find a stock like AEONCR that have such whooping financial results. Any fundamentalist could easily support this stock.
Kevin I was just commenting as a bit surprised. Bought a bit of this stock in Nov 2010 for 3.80. Received Bonus last year 1:5. Still holding. Glad I am. Only regret did not sell out at rm18+ beginning this year. Could have bought back at rm15+. Anyway that the game. You win some u lose some. I hope our dreams of rm20.20 come true. Wonder if Co. will distribute Bonus to enlarge capital base soon.
pputeh, you have it at RM3.80 and believed it was before the 10:1 split. Good price. I think the reason why AEONCR do not give dividend this time is because of the CAR ( Capital adequacy ration ) issue, in which they wish to keep the capital as the CAR ratio is now below the Bank Negara's rule of 16%. Remember "growth way outweigh dividend income". I would say RM12.20 is achievable by end of this year if there is no unforeseen circumstances occurs.
The uptrend of AEONCR is not affected and you may observe the stock chart has achieved higher high and higher low for the past one year. The next high will be around RM20.20 ( above the previous high of around RM18.60 )
Good news on AEONCR. AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad (the “Company”) has announced that it has obtained authorisation from the Securities Commission Malaysia on 29 October 2013 for the proposed issuance of unrated subordinated perpetual notes (“Perpetual Notes”) pursuant to a proposed perpetual private debt securities programme of up to RM400.0 million in nominal value (“Perpetual Private Debt Securities Programme”). This is a great great news. See http://www.bursamalaysia.com/market/listed-companies/company-announcements/1448021
Went up by 0.82sen today thanks Kevin. However Aeon Cr never split 10:1. I don't remember it hapening. However I amy be wrong See Fu. Ha Ha. From the time I hold this share its a rm1.00 par value. Only gave Bonus once, last year 1:5 ( got 5 lots give 1lot)
sorry, I recalled mistakenly. The previous split was not 10:1, but was 5:1, whereby athe share price was reduced to 80% with addition of 1 share for every 5 shares.
Perpetual Notes is a type of "I Owe U' or bond that have no expiry date as its name perpetual(forever) implies. To make it simple, let's assume that there is such a imaginary product called Perpetual Fixed Deposit with fixed 6% interest rate by ABC Bank. This product will works in such a way that if you deposit Rm10,000 in it, you will be guarantee a yearly interest payment of Rm60 every year for ever and ever, irrespective of whether the prevailing market interest has gone up or done. As the perpetual name implies also, you have to commit your Rm10,000 in the Perpetual Fixed Deposit for ever and ever, or in other words you cannot cash out your original Rm10,000. Of course with such inelastic features, it may not be an attractive product. However, past records have shown that quite many tranches of Perpetual Notes had been launched successfully. The most notable one would be the Perpetual Bond issued by British Government in the 18th Century to fund its war expenses. In fact, our CIMB Bank have also successful launched its Rm200mil Perpectual Bond a year ago. This shows that such a lousy product can also sell in the market provided the yield or the coupon rate is attractive.
After settling perpetual note, I believe Aeoncr will declare the dividend soon. It is not only a growth stock , but with a reasonable dividend payout policy.
Today SC gave approval for Perpetual notes issue. Will be managed by Hong Leong Bk. Hope now they will declare dividend or bonus issue as rights issue will not take place. Lets wait and see.
Hi Kevin. Looks like someone is pressing down this counter to buy. Arbdeen Assets usually the culprits.Somethime ago when Aeon Cr was rm13 they sold down heavily and price dropped to rm10+. Then the started collecting. I also noticed from rm18+ they sold heavily. However of late below rm16+ they have been collecting. What yr take on it?
pputeh, true. I have been observing this counter closely. They sold in many batches when the price reach RM13 and RM18. My friend did call Aberdeen and was informed that this was their portfolio management / exercise. They do not want to keep stock with too much total value in hand. But I am still wondering as someday they sell and buy back next few days, it happened if you trace back the record. Of late below RM16, they did buy some back.
Hi Kevin. Seems Aeon Cr is holding us shareholders in suspense. No announ on div etc. Wonder what happening. Directors also very quiet. Last year after the Fukisama neceular plant disaster they were very quick to declare div. Majority shareholders in Japan, so they declared to help the maj shareholders. Have to wait teill next quarter results in Dec
today news on AEON announced first 9 months profits up 22%, it means that the sister company AEON Credit will prosper together. this is a very good news.
just declared div 22.3 sen. Better than last year 3q which was 16 c. Good for you directors. Now waiting for the Bonus issue. Is it going to be 1:3 as you gave 1:5 last year. Last hope it comes soon
hope these few days up form a consistent uptrend. bravo stock with excellent revenue & profits increase ever year. The only one you can find in Bursa Malaysia.
