just hold,,let the market players digest the latest imposed measures by the budget,, in 2 or 3 months time market players for this property sector will come back.. it was just a prevention of a bubble in property sector.. just cooling off speculative play in property sector.. it s not an eternal probelm, just temporary.. as prices go down,, pick them up at good reasonable values.. to me i feel the price of UEM might go down below 2,, maybe 1.70 or 1.80

IF want to switch on to a different counter try MYEG,, it is on uptrend slowly

Posted by nasdaqtrader > 2013-11-06 10:27 | Report Abuse

need a good reason to buy since there seems to be lack of catalyst in property sector for the foreseeable future....buying at a significant discount at much lower p/e = margin of safety.

lower p/e = margin of safety would be @1.8-1.9 ....
But i doubt the price will go that low...... panic selling only occur during latest budget announcement,
i believe, once things stable, everything ll come back on track.....

Dont forget Iskandar is a biggest and hugee project in Malaysia and UEM / SP setia and other developer in it.

YES slowly property surely will go up..what the government is doing is good for our business here, to cool off speculation.. speculation is very dangerous it might lead to BUBBLE BURST

the RPGT issue will kill the property sectors slowly but surely. Same things happened in HK since January 2013. The results? Property transactions down by a whopping 50% especially in resale residential homes and prices down between 15 to 20%.

Property counters in HK (Henderson, HangLung, NewWorld etc) are now trading with a big discount to NTA and 5-7 times PE.

Cindy! You worry speculators don't make money! That's wrong! You should be glad that finally property prices will go down so genuine buyers can have roof over their heads! Don't worry about developers, they had made tons of fat profits in the past! Time for them to build reasonable price houses! And for us investors, its a chance to buy property counters at much lower price! Everybody wins!

Singapore, Hong Kong and Bolehland perhaps did the right thing at the right time! Or else property bubble will burst! Much worst scenario with high debts now!

Iskandar properties are mostly bought by foreigners & very expensive too...so NO PROPERTY TAX FOR FOREIGNERS TILL 202O is indeed good news for UEMS. I think the price will start moving.

All the best to those who still hold to your shares like me.

Even EPF is selling off shares in UEMS. So is it worth holding?

From Budget day some property counters have declined by 10 to 20% whilst OnG counters have gone up by 10 to 30%

Any idea who?

A Malaysian tycoon had to pay nearly RM200 million in fines recently for illegal overseas remittances made through money changers in a Bank Negara crackdown that began four years ago, say sources.

The Malaysian Insider understands that the tycoon, who has a Tan Sri honorific, had to settle the fine or face charges in court in the coming weeks.

If EPF throw, other funds will buy up as we had seen last Friday. So worry not & wonder how long can EPF throw?

Just because the market is open does not mean you have to trade. Cash is a position too.
