actually this is expected, the company ceo actually admit it that the 3rd quarter result will not be as good as the previous 2... but hey, it is still a good business..
If you do look at the report details, Q3 results are still commendable:
1. Q3 revenue only slightly less than the preceding quarter by RM3.5mil (merely 0.6%). This imply tat the ASP is still holding up well despite market concerns.
2. Profit of Q3 is dragged down by their Thailand operations owing to "the higher labour costs as a result of change in minimum wage policy" as well as "higher setting-up costs arising from ramping up of production".
The company is still paying decent interim dividend of 3 sen. Assuming Q4 EPS remains flat at 5 sen, current market price only values JCY at 5.6 times of PE.
I believe if you want to say whoever who believe Lamken, you're probably screwed up..I will think the same for people who believe the analysts, they are perhaps the one always with the 'moving objectives'..and talking about understanding the industry, I don't think they really do though..
but the fact is the profit has been turned down for this qtr. however, the NTA has gone up for this qtr. IMHO, I will cut loss for now, and wait for another round. Just stay away, and be an outsider now =)
Big slide here. In `normal' times, 1.38 would have been a good chance to buy and wait it out. But now I'm not sure - not after the 2nd quarter report. At the same time, the last performance wasn't bad at all in that JCY had made a profit. It's just that the previous quarter was exceptional. If it goes to the lower 1.30's, maybe it's worth a buy.
@Knight - Is there a JCY-CC?? I'm eyeing the other warrants but am hesitating on whether to come in right now or to wait a bit more. Come on, come one... DECIDE!
@Jjtrader - I believe 1.30 will be a very strong support. As we have seen with JCY in the past, it doesn't take much to see it rebounding and shooting back up. But, as always, *when* is the best time to come in?
