China reports 161 new COVID-19 cases

A ‘tsunami’ of omicron variant COVID-19 cases are coming, WHO warns

The World Health Organization warned Wednesday that the world will soon see a “tsunami of cases” of COVID-19 which will stretch throughout the winter.

The headwinds are strong for gloves share. With increase in production, drop in ASP and normalisation of social practice, companies share will continue to move lower. The market is more of momentum base and now is not the low of the share price. Those who hold and have no problem to carry the investment then please hold. Those who need to pay for asset loan and commitment then holding the investment is risking. The share will move downtrend for the next year.

@casanwk in a normal year, Harta would have offered bonus issue in 2021. but since price is sliding in 2021, I think it is a good call not to do that last year. Currently no plans for bonus issue as far as I know.
If Harta is undervalued, I would like the Kuans to buy back shares instead. Let see if prices will continue to slide this Jan.

India reports the highest number of daily Covid cases since early September

There were 37,379 new cases reported over a 24-hour period, government data showed Tuesday.

That was the highest reported figure since September and marked a sharp jump from the 6,358 cases reported a week earlier on Dec. 28.

Maharashtra and Delhi together account for around half of all cases in India attributed to the omicron variant.

Bang Miskin is right. Historically, Harta gave out bonus issue once every 3 years. Bonus issue was due last year but derailed by drastic drop in share price.

The recent high case numbers seems to have no effect in share prices. I wonder how the ASPs are doing. If hospitalizations stay low, then probably not much effect.

I think unless there is foreign interest in Bursa, share prices across the board will probably stay flat this year.

The new variant — B.1.640.2 — which has been detected in 12 patients near Marseille, contains 46 mutations, making it more resistant to vaccines and infectious

Even as the world battles the uptick in COVID-19 cases owing to the Omicron variant, scientists in France have found another variant.

The discovery of the variant, dubbed B.1.640.2, was announced in a paper posted on medRxiv.

Called IHU, as of now, the strain was discovered by academics based at the IHU Mediterranee Infection on 10 December.

Covid Level in Singapore 'Unknown,' U.S. CDC Warns in Travel Notice

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Tuesday reclassified its Covid-19 travel advisory for Singapore, guiding Americans to avoid travel to the Southeast Asian nation because the level of the disease there is “unknown.”

Pleasantly surprised with today's performance, was preparing for the worst =)
However from my experience, it is unwise to chase glove counters, still pretty volatile. Some days increase a lot, other days drop like stone. Good if you can buy it low and hold it for long term, but remember to diversify into other industries.
