thanks kitmanworld. I think many will not op for the reinvestment plan but if they are offering at a discounted price and looking at their recent win of contract, they have replenish quite substantially on order book which the job would be 5 to 8 yrs. Anyway, i will wait for their further announcement and only decide.

I think not a bad idea to go for DRP if it's being offered at discounted price. Their order book replenishment also quite good with good international market order book.

However, they are remain lackluster at this point of time even if they secure new contract recently? according to someone that count the elliot wave, now is the corrective wave, it may hit around 3.40 level, which is quite scary for those collecting above, but i welcome it as i want to buy in this one, currently doing small portfolio investment for the future. Dont go scold me for hoping that it will hit 3.40. But, i need to hear any good discussion about this temporal weak moves.

Gamuda toll concession only contribute about 19% group earning. Therefore, the divestment toll concession only will erode 19% gamuda EPS of 10sen/quarter. These impact could further mitigate by balance cash proceed from divestment after special dividend payout through reduce finance inteerest cost. All in, gamuda still comfortable to deliver quarter EPS 8sen or annualize 32sen after divestmen

Price will go down in line with special dividend payment, but the price will pick as we head to 1 Qtr 2023, as Gamuda will announce further contract wins and there is much to grab in the local market as far as contracts are concerned. I

There is much to grab but then there are many tier 1 construction company too. They will need to award it equally. Rising material prices, worker wages and surprise purblic holiday (which i welcome) will increase the cost. Also the working hrs reduce from 48hrs/week to 45hrs/week starting In January will increase the operation cost.

Mabel King of Construction is on the Spotlight this week. Gamuda Bhd announced a special interim dividend of 38 sen per share, just over a month after the engineering, property and infrastructure company successfully completed its divestment of four highways to Amanat Lebuhraya Rakyat Bhd (ALR).

The special dividend’s ex-date is Dec 13, with entitlement on Dec 14. Last month, ALR said it has completed the acquisition of four highway concessionaires, following its issuance of sustainable sukuk murubahah amounting to RM5.5 billion in nominal value. The four highway toll concessionaires are Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn Bhd (Litrak), Sistem Penyuraian Trafik KL Barat Sdn Bhd (SPRINT), Kesas Sdn Bhd (Kesas) and Syarikat Mengurus Air Banjir dan Terowong Sdn Bhd (SMART).

as i said before, market will negate SD 40sen. Price now 3.50. Gamuda needs a massive infar. boost from Anwar
budget next year which will not come. Money will be used to support economy( handouts) and social program.
