After Gamuda sold the highways and distributed the special dividend, will the share price adjusted to lower accordingly? Example, special dividend 35 cents, so share price will be adjusted to 3.15 (3.50 - 0.35). Or because after selling the highways, revenue and profit will be reduced in future so the price will drop even lower, maybe below 3?

After distribution the share price will adjust by the amount distributed, however after it should being in to go up as Gamuda wins new contracts which will replace the revenue lost from sale of concession. The revenues from concession were fixed so in principle taking into account inflation it is better to sell a fixed fee business and use the monies to invest in winning other projects.

By the way lowest bidder does not guarantee that you get the contract. There are more things to it. Gamuda no doubt are very experienced and have significant experience. My only concern is that whether they have E the resources given that that they have been very successful in winning contracts. Lets keep fingers crossed…should know soon.

Gamuda is actually a Sell stock. Let Go 2 billion revenue from Sale of Highways( no choice ). Rasau Water
Treatment Plant BID is Before Russia/Ukraine War starts. Meaning Raw Material price esp. steel price has jump 150% China lockdown is still on-going maybe 50% better but Containers congestion/Delay is still One Month.
Meaning China Steel and Pumps are very much expensive after Ukraine War started.
I think Rasau Project Profit Margin is very thin. Of course better than nothing bcos Management and Bank
Interest payment is still on-Going. No project in 2022 means cannot borrow more to cover other expenses.

Regular income from Highway concession v selling the interest is open to diverging views. Many think it is for the better, argument being fees could not be increased and therefore inflation would eat away. Combined with opportunity to realise a gain and reinvest including returning some to shareholders is not a bad thing, particularly as Gamuda is winning many contracts particularly offshore which proves it can compete and is not subject to favors! This to proves it is capable of covering the lost revenue from new contracts it wins and is in strong position to win significant contracts at home when govt decides to spend post election! I conclude it is under valued. When price drops post special dividend it may be time to add more shares from the dividend payout.

Another concern is how contracts are written and whether they cover increase in materials cost. Most well written contracts for long term project would have the ability to cover increase in material costs, particularly when they are due to unseen event such as wars etc. So without having access to contracts one cannot state with confidence that Gamuda will loose out in such circumstances. L
