actually MPCORP owing about $210m to RHB and Amanah right? Even if MPL value is around 250m still can pay off all owings. I'm sure land price in Jln Raja Chulan in KL city centre easily worth more than 1,000psf.
I don't think will back to 5sen but the company borderline PN17... already they did some accounting entry in recent quarterly financial to adjust the profit up 60m by reversing the impairment value of the land. Not sure if their intention is actually for "earnings management" to make provision during good times and to reverse the provision to inflate profit when their losses are high. Management maybe doing it to avoid the PN17.
Already there is other news previously raised by irate shareholder that the company sold off some houses to related company to boost income (and no disclosure made to shareholders) also to avoid PN17? So I think management are quite desperate liao to avoid PN17 yet don't know why they don't sell off the MPL and/or some of the 638acres to pay off the 2 creditors rhb and amanah... is the delay due to dato not wanting sell asset or nobody want to buy? also another problem after settling the debt is who will inject $$$$ to start the APTEC and Lakehill project stuck since 2008? Don't think they do it alone.
Fed should taper in Sept then there'll be no uncertainty now... Fed surprised everyone by not tapering then. Now this uncertainty keep dragging. No gd for stocks. :(
