If they can sustain this kind of earnings. This is a very good retirement fund. High dividend yielding plus stable consumer industry based company. I actually exited at 1.8 and entered back at 1.61.

A lot analysts have misjudged Padini. Padini is no longer Padini but Padini + Brands Outlet. At difficult time like this, Brands Outlet (target on mass market, medium to lower income group) will shine.

If still 1.80, my opinion is 1.80 cant reflect the real potential of padini. With the expand of the new shop in many places, no doubt it has started to improve padini earning & it also prove tat padini management has a very efficient plan to improve the earning.

It is 2.5sen dividend. The 1.5sen should be came from previous special dividend. They just put it in this quarter.

Now just waiting for the dividend to come to our bank account. Remember to reinvest bank to your own company by visiting Padini :-) every quarter I buy at least one item from Padini for the last three years plus. My friend thought my parent work in Padini.... Hahaha....

I personally think that with the opened of Brands outlet is a good move and the increase in revenue came mostly from Brands Outlet stores as I can see that the increased of traffic in Brands Outlet during CNY this year and the gross margin are also higher.

This year Padini going to open 3~4 stores again throughout the Malaysia so future prospect wise, I'm still positive to it. Besides that, I can still collect an attractive dividend of 6% which is higher than FD :)

I do hope that Padini can provide me a good return as calculated and I will hold on to it for now. Thanks :)

Just finish digesting the report. I will say Padini doing so far so good. 1)The cash reduce slightly (mainly due to the delay in the receivable and dividend paid, the special dividend was accounted in this quarter report) 2)inventories increased (should be due to the new stores opening)
3)borrowing increased (also due to the new stores opening)
I expect in the next few quarter, we will see those number will be getting better and better after all the new stores get ready for the party.

If Padini business remain flat with no improvement, then the Fair Value for this counter for PE=12 should be around RM1.85.

However, never forget the 2.5sen dividend every quarter (due to the good reputation from the management, I assume they will give at least 2.5sen every quarter, forget about the special dividend). Then at Rm1.85, Padini dividend return is 5.4% (Quite good).

Plus, don forget the new stores opening which would further contributing into padini profit table. Hence, I believe RM2.00 target price for Padini is still very fair. Not to mention the dividend yield still hit 5% at RM2.00. If some big fish coming in, Rm2.40 is not a dream. Therefore, i will not consider to sell unless Padini hit RM2.30 and above.

powerwk yes after u suggested and reading. padini is more active though. I recently jump into mpay for short term....... padini is long term I temperorily sell padini and get into mpay already moving I will come back to padini definitely.
