CEO is an employee and changing CEO would not cancel earlier tender or bids. Unless he left because of differing opinion with board. He joined 2 years only. Very often these employee lompat lompat. If board sees this petronas deal is beneficial they will proceed. Just get another CEO to execute it.

Although i think its a good chance to avg down coz scomi has 1.7bn book orders which can sustain its operations

（吉隆坡11日讯）私募基金TAEL One股份有限公司崛起成为Scomi集团有限公司（SCOMI，7158，贸易服务组）大股东，使怡保工程机构有限公司（IJM，3336，建筑组）献购这家工程集团控制股权的行动出现转机。

接近Scomi集团现有股东纷争的金融界执行员称，TAEL在转换所持债券股后获得Scomi集团9.87%股权，将形成对抗首席执行员萨哈金的力量，萨哈金正需要推动其债务重组计划，及铺路让怡保工程机构增持股份，从现有的7.75%提高到约25%。

这项计划遭一个由Maju集团丹斯里阿布沙希为首的集团反对，因他们称这项重组将导致Scomi集团股东‘权益严重被冲淡’。

不过，由于债券股转换，阿布沙希的持股在建议中债券发行前已经被冲淡。

与阿布沙希同一阵线的团体仅透过数个个体持有该集团低于12%股权，这名商人也不排除未来提高其持股的可能性。

“我是一名被动的投资者。我看到公司（Scomi集团）的价值。我当然不愿我的持股轻易被冲淡。”

但金融界人士称，阿布沙希已面对获得适当资金，以融资企业战争的问题。

基于15亿3600万健康状况冲淡后股票资本，阿布沙希将须为每1%Scomi集团股份支付568万令吉。

一名银行家透露：“TAEL的参股将对怡保工程机构和萨哈金有利。”

他补充，除了该私募基金的参股，另外数个与萨哈金友好团体也暗示开放让怡保工程机构获得控制股权。

早前报导指出，怡保工程机构参股Scomi集团是2项冗长企业计划，以重组集团庞大债务负担的其中一部分。

怡保工程机构是在去年杪透过私下配售方式，购入9.06%股份，并承诺将再购入1亿1000万令吉债券，可以36.5仙行使价转换为普通股，并提高在Scomi集团的持股至近25%。

新鲜资本将是Scomi集团的关键。截至去年9月30日止，Scomi集团的债务总额11亿2000万令吉，其中7亿450万令吉属于短期债务。其现金结存则企于2亿3350万令吉。

在争取更大型工程之前，Scomi集团将需要重组资本。该公司是数家放眼本地风险分享合约，以发展国家石油公司微型油田的公司之一。
