Malaysia has opened competitive bidding for one gigawatt (GW) of solar plants worth about RM4 billion, the largest capacity offered under its Large Scale Solar (LSS) scheme. The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, via the Energy Commission, is requesting proposals through competitive bidding process for the development of the fourth cycle of LSS (LSS4) projects. The solar plants under LSS4 are expected to start operating latest by December 31 2023, as the development of each plant would take up to 18 months. LSS4 offers a 1.0GW solar quota through the bidding process and is opened to fully-owned local companies or with at least 75 per cent local shareholding for companies listed on Bursa Malaysia. The projects are expected to be commissioned by end-2023, with a term of 21 years for each LSS plant.
M K Land is pleased to announce that Solar Citra Sdn Bhd (“SCSB”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of M K Land Resources Sdn Bhd, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, had on 30 May 2023 achieved Commercial Operation Date (“COD”) for the LSSPV Project under LSS4@MEnTARI.
The Energy Commission (“EC”) through its Letter dated 10 July 2023 notified SCSB of the following:
1. Based on Clause 3.3 Conditions Precedent to Commercial Operations of the Power Purchase Agreement (“PPA”) dated 26 August 2021 and Letter from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (“TNB”), EC confirms that documents for testing and commissions is complete.
2. TNB confirms that SCSB has fulfilled the requirement and the main pre-requisite of the Guidelines on Large Scale Solar Photovoltaic Plant for Connection to Electricity Networks, 2016.
3. EC has no objection for the solar power plant belonging to SCSB for COD on 30 May 2023.
4. The LSSPV Project is the first successful completion under the LSS4@MEnTARI in the state of Perak Darul Ridzuan. The LSSPV Project will provide a steady stream of recurring income from electricity sales for SCSB.
With the 4-year PPA extension for LSS4 projects, the earning visibility for SCSB will be strengthened for the next 25 years, as compared to the initial 21 years.
CGPP is a virtual power purchase agreement between a corporate consumer and a solar power producer for the virtual supply of energy. This enables corporates to participate in the promotion and use of RE in their business operations, the brokerage noted.
The government expects to introduce two new road maps potentially by end of August this year. These are the National Energy Transition Roadmap and the Hydrogen Economy and Technology Roadmap.
Solar Citra Sdn Bhd (“SCSB”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of M K Land Resources Sdn Bhd, which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, has received a Letter of Notification of Application Status for Corporate Green Power Programme (For Solar PV Plant) (“CGPP”) from the Energy Commission (“EC”) dated 7 August 2023, where the consortium of SCSB and TotalEnergies Renewables SAS was one of the consortium selected out of 71 applicants as a successful Solar Power Producer under the CGPP.
The consortium’s application has met the criteria as stated in the Information Guide for CGPP (For Solar PV Plant) (“CGPP Information Guide”) for the Development of Photovoltaic Plant under the CGPP, with capacity of 29.99MW in Mukim Padang Meha, Daerah Kulim, Kedah for commercial operation in 2025, subject to fulfilment of additional requirements of CGPP Information Guide, Single Buyer (ring-fenced entity within Tenaga Nasional Berhad) and New Enhanced Dispatch Arrangement (NEDA) Programme.

Beautifully explained Madgin, that is only the NAV...there is also RNAV which is Revaluation its landbank n building assets to current price value as its 4800 acres has never been revalued for more than 20 yrs...Under the Land held for development in its balance sheet is stated 750 mil-780 mil at book value which they acquired at dirt cheap price...Now all the landbank is worth more than 5 bil as land value has appreciated several folds...Hence its real value on accounting std is 2.50-3.00 per share...At 0.205 it is still deeeeppplyyyyyy UNDERVALUED!!!
Dun forget when MK injected assets into Mkland, he had done it at price of around 1.00, thus at 0.205 they are sitting at huge losses by now...They Wil surely ramp it up again above 1.00 to get even when the time and its business fundamental is right...u are safe with this company cos they have never come out with Right Issue or private placement whenever they launch projects as the are financially sound under the umbrella of Emkay Group...

This is normal as majority of investors in Bursa are traders and speculators...Don worry about its up and down...Wat we care about is the underlying business behind the company and not fluctuation of stock price...
Owner of Mkland must play important role to acquire its own stock to corner it so that there won't be much share outstanding for traders to play around...once a stock is cornered then it is easily up to MKland whether they want it at 0.50 0r 1.00 or 1.50
