- Trade Package No. TP 02 - Superstructure, Façade and Blockworks ("Works")
The Board of Directors of WCT Holdings Berhad (“WCT” or “the Company”) wishes to announce that Lendlease Projects (M) Sdn Bhd (“LLPM”) has via its letter dated 11 July 2018 confirmed its intent to award the Works for the project known as the “Proposed Commercial Mixed Development on Plot 1 comprising: (i) 4 levels of Shopping Complex, (ii) 3 levels of Car Park, (iii) 1 level Open Landscape with Retail Space and 1 Information Centre (future development), (iv) Future Development Plot, on Lot PT157, Seksyen 67, Jalan Tun Razak / Jalan Davis, Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur” to WCT Berhad (“WCTB”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, subject to the terms of the preliminary works agreement (“PWA”) executed between LLPM and WCTB on 12 July 2018 and the execution of a trade contract (“Trade Contract”) prior to 10 October 2018, being the expiry of the PWA. The Trade Contract sum for the Works shall be in the lump sum of RM555.0 million (excluding GST).

Pursuant to the PWA, WCTB shall proceed with certain preliminary works as set out under the PWA, forming part of the Trade Contract, which include procurement of performance bond and all relevant insurance, commencement of mobilisation activities, mobilisation of project staff, plants and equipment, local authority notifications, erection of site office, workers’ accommodation, welfare facilities, preparation of Environmental, Health & Safety plans and quality plans, safe work method statement and procurement of shop drawings and samples for façade works, preparation, mobilisation and construction works for retaining wall, core wall, column and slabs, etc. WCTB is entitled to be paid up to a maximum of RM27.75 million (excluding GST) for carrying the preliminary works under the PWA.

None of the Directors or major shareholders of the Company or persons connected with them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the award of the Works.

Because this courter doesn't involve to LRT3 directly. But market felt there have no more bad news for construction courter and all construction related courter has undervalue deeply and right now there have no more bad news = good news.
And it will gain back market confidence.

The worst is over for construction stock, Those they buy cheap should keep for short term. If u can observe in the stock movement for construction stock, price tend to drop bit, price rebound strongly whenever there is good news.... More good news coming.

I see very good value & strong fundamental stocks.. Some good news are coming soon that will reflect the true value of the stocks. Downside is limited, price drop few cents when bad new announced, price jumps strongly whenever there is good news.. By looking at the Balance sheet, it is good bet for mid term..

Bursa Malaysia to continue uptrend next week

KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 — Buying momentum on Bursa Malaysia is expected to continue next week, in line with the global equities on lack of worries over trade war between the United States and China.

Hermana Capital Bhd Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer Datuk Nazri Khan Adam Khan said the positive sentiment would restore investors’ risk appetite.

On the local front, he said the reduction of foreign fund outflow from the country would also support the market next week.

“For the past three months, the outflow was quite significant. The momentum, however, has slowed down on the back of steadier oil prices that helped push oil and gas and other related stocks,” he told Bernama.

Furthermore, Nazri Khan said prospects for inflow of foreign direct investment in the second half of the year would also support sentiment in the market.

He said with the new government being more transparent and efficient, coupled with the stable financial and banking ecosystem following the unchanged overnight policy rate (OPR) by the central bank, they would spur higher demand.

“I don’t see why they (foreign investors) should stay on the sideline anymore,” he added.

For the week just ended, the local bourse trended broadly higher, tracking regional peers, influenced by the trade war sentiment.

WCT will be partnering with Singapore's CCCG Overseas Real Estate Pte Ltd (CORE) to develop the land in the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) that it bought for RM223 million in October 2015

Other than develop its own piece of land.

WCT Holdings Bhd has secured a RM555 million contract from Lendlease Projects (M) Sdn Bhd for a proposed mixed development in the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) Lifestyle Quarter.
