Last 5 years EPS while on increasing trend, fluctuated significantly, overall increased by 44.1% in last 5 years, PE ratio is 13, ROE 14%, and dividend yield 3.17%

SAM扩充檳厂房

他今日在檳城科学园，为新加坡宇航製造私人有限公司（SAM）扩充厂房而主持开幕仪式上致词时，鼓励各製造业迈向工业改革4.0及数码化目標。

他对于外资来马投资的现象深表乐观，尤其是希望马来西亚成为一个航空业的枢纽，给予更多的空间发展航空业。

较早前在记者会上，询及土著团结党东渡沙巴的课题时，也是沙巴民兴党副主席的达乐雷京说，应该说的都说了，应该做的也做了，目前该党將把重心放在振兴及发展沙巴州。

询及中美贸易战的看法时，他表示这是两国的问题，无论任何的决策都会影响全球。

檳去年首9月投资额达31亿

檳州首长曹观友说，檳州2018年1月至9月的投资额达3 1亿令吉，虽然整年的数据未出炉，不过若有达到50亿令吉已是很好的表现了。

他坦言，2017年的投资额高达108亿令吉，这是史无前例的创举，接下来相信很难维持这个纪录，惟他重申，无论如何，最重要的还是投资的素质。

询及杨忠礼通讯与面子书携手在檳城乔治市推展的「Terragraph无线上网技术」市场试点计划，他欢迎私人界给予各项建议及回馈。

他说， 如今谈论的基本设施不仅是马路或桥樑，但也讲究网络服务，以提升资讯工艺的基本设施，所以网速也是其中一个可以利惠工商界及人民，带动檳州成为投资商及游客首选、提供更好生活素质的基设。

据悉，3月1日在檳岛乔治市试行的「Terragraph无线上网技术」是全球第二个，也是亚洲首个大型无线宽频试点，在为期半年的市场试点计划中，乔治市民眾及安装者可免费体验高速公共无线上网及固定无线接入。

The new 145,000 sq ft plant is equipped with state-of-the-art precision machinery and will employ 200 highly-skilled workers at full capacity.

The manufacturing facility, which produces nacelle structures for the Airbus A320neo and the A350 aircraft, is the company’s latest and ninth facility in the world, adding to the five existing plants in Malaysia, two in Singapore and one in Thailand.

“SAMEE has become an important aerospace manufacturing hub for SAM and it is a long-term, capital intensive business,” Goh said.

He added that the new facility will push SAMEE’s growth in the aerospace business in Malaysia.

SAM is in full position to take advantage of the growth and backlog in the global aircraft market. Backlog is worth 3.1bil coupled with additional facility for LEAP-X engine casing manfacturing in Singapore which will begin contribution in FY2020.

BENGALURU: Shares of Boeing Co slid 9 percent in early trading on Monday as many airlines grounded the planemaker’s best selling 737 MAX 8 passenger jet following the second deadly crash involving the plane.

A Nairobi-bound Boeing 737 MAX 8 operated by Ethiopian Airlines crashed minutes after takeoff from Addis Ababa on Sunday, killing all 157 on board. The same model flown by Lion Air crashed off the coast of Indonesia in October, killing all 189 on board.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China ordered Chinese airlines to ground all Boeing 737 MAX 8 planes after the crash.

The CAA said it would contact the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and Boeing regarding the resumption of operations once they are assured that measures have been taken to ensure safety.

Ethiopian Airlines said it had grounded its 737 MAX 8 fleet until further notice as an ”extra safety precaution” even though it did not know the cause of Sunday’s crash.

The 737 MAX 8 uses LEAP-1B engines made by CFM International, a joint venture of General Electric Co and Safran SA. Shares in Safran also fell 1.6 percent on Monday.

Boeing said on Monday the investigation into the Ethiopian Airlines crash is in its early stages and there is no need to issue new guidance to operators of its 737 MAX 8 aircraft based on the information it has so far.

Regulators and airlines around the world suspended operation of the Boeing 737 Max after the fatal March 10 crash of an Ethiopian Airlines flight, less than five months after the same type of plane flown by Lion Air plunged into waters off Indonesia. The plane continued to fly in the U.S., where the Federal Aviation Administration, often viewed as a global authority on air safety, said it saw “no basis to order grounding the aircraft.” But then the U.S. reversed course, ordering the 737 Max grounded, according to U.S. President Donald Trump. American travelers quickly joined those elsewhere in wondering whether the global action will impact their flights.

It’s the delay and cancellation of new planes that causes concern.

However a 5pct drop is hardly a panic. Perhaps all this will be solved or forgotten soon.

Boeing has decided to temporarily suspend its entire fleet of 737 MAX planes "out of an abundance of caution and in order to reassure the flying public of the aircraft's safety." The FAA reversed course on Wednesday and grounded the jet after evidence emerged showing a flight that crashed Sunday in Ethiopia may have experienced the same problem as a plane that went down five months ago off Indonesia. Analysts say the initial impact of the grounded Boeing (NYSE:BA) jets will be contained, but may escalate if the fleet is not permitted to fly for a longer period.
