problem not Sap, problem is Institutional Buyers concentrate on Shorting Glove Counters. With 5% available Funds, how to move Sap....Need Foreign Funds to start buying then local funds will give up Glove counters and start chasing Oil counters
The country that consume the most oil, USA, is now changing to green and renewable energy. Biden policy is to go green and kill fossil fuels.. total opposite of Trump
China is ramping up on EV as well.
Electric Vehicle, Solar and Wind power, Hydro power is the new source of energy and upcoming thing.
O & G if can exit, exit now before its too late,,if you want to stay and be the hero last man standing, also can. Up to you.
I've been in the O&G for the past 30 years & every year "experts" have been saying that it's a dying industry. O&G is a cyclic business, yes that's true. But not dying. Dont be fooled by the so called "experts". All the green & renewables will not be able to support global energy requirement for industries & daily life needs. Let's see if solar can be used to make all your daily life items that are fossil fuel based.
The majors might be realigning their focus to renewables to diversidy, but the core business is still fossil fuel. Check out Petronas...more drilling activities are being planned for many fields in the coming years.
I've gone thru downturns in 1998, 2003, 2008, 2014 and now 2020 (due to Covid). It's cyclic, the industry has rebounded and it will rebound again. Covid will be gone one day....just like many pandemics before. Just enjoy the ride folks...
@JoshuaMS7, just my observation based on the Bursa energy sector chart. If not next week, probably the following weeks. I am betting on it. A laggard sector can never stay idle forever. It will rebound eventually.
As an investor, dont be too attached to the O&G counters... but, when it's under cyclic downturn, you buy. Ride it out, once it's uptrend, sell. You'll be happy with the returns.
That's true....that's why should not be too attached to the O&G counters as it's a cyclic industry. Now it's under downturn... time to buy & ride out the cycle. Once it's uptrend, don't dream of becoming multi billionaire like John D. Rockefeller by hanging in there too long. Exit with the handsome return. When to exit? That you have to do the research, follow the market supply & demand lah. It's your own due diligince.
Green energy initiate Investments is High therefore cost per kwh is beyond heavy users liking. Just imagine China is reverting back to cheap Coal (more license issued this year of pandemic ) China said All petrol Car production will Stop in 2035 ( 15 years from now ) In 15 years, China Car number are More than its population..It would takes another 10years for Old petrol Cars to Die naturally......Give or take Petrol Car will be in China for next 25years
3/4 of World population is in Asia and Africa, so far Not even Malaysia said Anything about phasing out Petrol Cars. All those "White Boys" talk alot.....Covid vaccine also DonT want to share with with poorer Countries....as my Boss said, they just found that Africa has the largest Oil Deposit in the World on Land, all this Liquid Black Gold will Not stay inside the Ground if it is Cheap and lots of demand
@theoxwalker...if the fair value is RM 0.025and this stock is so much overvalued, what is the logic the big fund bought a huge volume end of last year??
The big fund does not have analyst to analyze this stock worthiness?
In such a short span of time, target price is revised. See how not to trust the analysts? Whom should we trust then? I only trust the price, volume and the momentum.
@wehcant because last few months they expected Brent trade between 30-40 usd at year 2021 because of covid second wave. Now a lot analysts said Brent will be traded between 50-60 usd then they revised again. Later oil price break 70 usd then they will revise again to higher share price! Wait patiently, I don't believe oil price no effect for oil stock since lot forum ppls said they are not related!
@wechat yes, i will not sell my shares anyway, this counter seems got lot spaces to up since the oil price is confirmed bullish trend and vaccine will be starting to inject in malaysia end of this month!
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....

high production, high demand, high oil price, very good
Low production, low demand , high oil price, is that good?
