Hope they make the right decision, not a decision base on their need for cash. Might be like cutting off the hand that brings in the money. They should cut the exorbitant Directors pay, absolute waste of money. At least this is cost cutting NOT cutting your hands off.
The amount of $$$ that the Directors have been paid over time is absolutely obscene. Heads should roll, they should all be replaced. Some of those big institutions that approved their pay should have another assessment of their decisions.
I think good move to downsize abit. To big sometimes difficult to manage. I think sapura 3500 can do the similar work. Let me check. Just do business at the size that is profitable.

This is already history EVO118..
PNB and MOF will not make the same mistake again so does the Shareholders. This is one of the reason why Mabel sold Sapnrg in 2019..
Now it's another chapter...like superlimit88 said kita simpan untuk masa depan. Right Now Sapnrg is like a Chicken, one day it will fly like an Eagle...that's why Mabel is still accumulating while it is still a chicken...
Trading is about Capital Gain while Investing is more Focus about Generating Income (Capital Gain, Bonus Issues and Dividend).
Sapura Energy is still on Accumulation Mode (same strategy as our FGV). So Mabel will continue to Buy on Dip.
For Serba since Mabel is having the 2019 WA Free Warrants and has profits in the 2020 and 2021 rally, Mabel's strategy is to Buy the mother shares on Break Out or when it dips to Mabel's target price...the same strategy with Sapnrg
Mabel usually allocated 20% of Mabel's capital for this type of potentially Multi Bagger engagements. Usually with Spare Cash. Since early this year, Mabel’s Biofuel Plantation are doing great and most of Mabel’s Fossil Battleships, Super tankers and Jet Fighters are equally great. So Mabel can wait and not in a hurry to sell. To be honest Mabel actually don’t know what to do with these spares cash...hahaha
Alhamdulillah. Good Job Sapura. Now with this small step by selling of assets will send a direct message to MOF and Creditor that Sapura is very serious in addressing its major problem and this will be the first shockwave that will wake everyone ups in the industries that Sapura now on its path of major restructuring.
9th June is around the corner....MOF better not u-turn... churn the numbers and offer a fully committed assistance scheme that will ensure revival of SE's financial health....SE mgt better dun think of huge Directors' fee for years.....till SE reports steady profits and clear all loans first.

"High salaries and related-party transactions From FY2013-FY2022, Sapura Energy paid out total dividends of RM480 million. But huge salaries, incentives and payments were made out to Shahril and his vehicle Brothers Capital Sdn Bhd (co-owned with his brother Datuk Shahriman Shamsuddin), which wholly owns Sapura Holdings Sdn Bhd, which in turn now owns 12.82% of Sapura Energy.
Shahril drew huge remuneration and incentives from FY2014 onwards, even as the company posted losses from FY2016. His annual remuneration and incentives were between RM71.9 million and RM89.4 million from FY2014 to FY2018 (see Chart 4). His total income from FY2013 to FY2021 was RM443.9 million, or an average of RM49.3 million per year for nine years.
In FY2016, when Sapura Energy posted its first post-merger loss, Shahril’s remuneration was still a whopping RM83.4 million, down only marginally from the RM89.4 million in FY2015 when both Sapura Energy’s profits and his remuneration were at record highs. In FY2018, the company posted RM2.5 billion of net losses, but his remuneration was still a whopping RM71.9 million."
"In total, excluding the related-party transaction office rental, we estimate Shahril and Shahriman’s Sapura Holdings received RM1.17 billion from FY2013-2021, comprising RM444 million in remuneration, RM296 million in IP rights and trademarks, RM350 million from the SapuraCrest-Kencana merger cash distribution exercise and RM79 million from dividends (See Table 5).
In comparison, all shareholders (excluding Shahril and Sapura Holdings) received just RM401 million in dividends. To cut a long story short, one single shareholder received three times what was paid to all other shareholders.
It is ok if he want to take back 49 millions if Sarpng make few billions profit. Rugi besar pun dia tetap get miliions and millions. Very obvious don't care about others cz thinking gamin behind and can help.
look like a very long wait, if it is even going to go up...better look at pworth dulu lah... at least the company is making money and in better position for election fund
