HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !! Welcome to my 2014 thread, I would like to start the thread with these words; “ You don’t have to be Great to get started, but you have to get started to be Great “ UNQUOTE. Hopefully through this thread we can learn, share and exchange ideas to be able to get started and be Great in 2014 !! I always believe in simplicity in stock market investment whether you are a FA , TA or Both. My aim is always TRY to make Three correct decisions: What to Buy, When to Buy and When to sell. Yet I still make many mistakes days in and days out. Then I realized it was OK to make mistakes at times, the important thing is to make a painful decision when we are wrong. My resolution for 2014 in stock market? I would like to be able to avoid “Indecisiveness and Regret”. Many times I have asked myself in 2013 should I buy, sell or hold? Then realized I should have bought, sold or held. 2013 has been a good year for me and I believe for many of you out there.. Then we must also realize KLSE hit the all time high in 2013. I would like to wish everyone to be successful in 2014 too !! My new format for 2014 is as follows: 1)GHLYSYS-- Av Price=$0.715( Closing=$0.72, P&L=+0.7%), Trailing Stop=$0.665. Risk= -7%. Tp1=$0.79, TP 2=0.845. (Trading Range $0.685 to $0.735). Note : Formed an engulfing Bull 2 days ago unless $0.685 is broken it should be moving upward in the short term. 2)MUHIBAH-- Av Price=$2.35( Closing=$2.28, P&L=-3%), Trailing Stop=$2.23. Risk= -5%. Tp1=$2.48, TP 2=?. (Trading Range $2.26 to $2.48). Note : Rectangle trading range of $2.26 to $2.48. 3)PERISAI-- Av Price=$1.48( Closing=$1.59, P&L= +7.4%), Trailing Stop=$1.50. Risk= 0 %. Tp1=$1.65/$1.70. TP 2=?. (Trading Range $1.53 to $1.66). Note : Breakout from $1.57 yesterday it is expected to break above $1.60 soon. I have raised my Trailing Stop to $1.50 which is higher than the purchase price to protect my capitals. 4)PERDANA-- Av Price=$1.59( Closing=$1.59, P&L= 0%), Trailing Stop=$1.50. Risk= 6%. Tp1=$1.70. TP 2=1.83. (Trading Range $1.54 to $1.66). Note: The steady upward movement has slowed down some consolidation can be expected and accumulation on any weakness for future play. 5)TAS-- Av Price=$1.12 ( Closing=$1.15, P&L= +2.6%), Trailing Stop=$1.04. Risk= 7%. Tp1=$1.26. TP 2=1.34. (Trading Range $1.10 to $1.20). Note : Sideways Movement needs to take out the Doji formed at $1.20.Expects to move higher in near term. 6)TDM-- Av Price=$0.96 ( Closing=$0.95, P&L= -1%), Trailing Stop=$0.905. Risk= 5.6%. Tp1=$1.05. TP 2=?. (Trading Range $0.94-$0.97). Note :Sideways Movement but upward momentum has increased so more rebound can be expected. Av Price-- price i bought in and it will be adjusted if i scale in. Closing -- today closing price. P&L -- Paper Profit and Loss. Trailing Stop-The cut loss or protect profit levels. It will be adjusted accordingly. Risk-The stop loss percentage if the trade moved against me. TP1 &TP2--Target Price. Using this new format if my stock is trading in the trading range I would not update the stocks every day. Happy Trading !!

TaurusGal82, ya i am holding on GUH. It did not violate my Stop Loss level of $0.99. Counter is bearish now due to weak market sentiment.
So many counters hit my stop loss level like TAS but i was away shopping for CNY and dint have time to monitor. May need to re look all the counters after CNY holiday.

I would like to give some clarification of my trading method on Stop Loss/Trailing Stop just incase some of you is confused.

Stop Loss—The first stop Loss after I enter a trade is perphap the Most important Stop Loss leve. When my Stop Loss is hit I will normally give it 1 or 2 ticks below just incase it is a Bear Trap. If the breakdown of my Stop Loss level is accompany with volumes I will normally followed and clear my stock and take my losses. But if the stop loss was violated with small volumes( normally some small time weak holders) I will give the stock some times to see whether if could rebound back up above my Stop Loss level. The stop Loss level may be increased if a new support is formed to reduce my risk.( I will call stop Loss(2) from now).

Trailing Stop—This stop is actually the Stop that I put on to protect my profits (That means the stock I picked had moved to the target I expected), it is totally opposite from my Stop Loss which is to reduce my risk. On the Trailing Stop I will sell when it hit that level without second thought. The reason I set a trailing Stop is to ride on the profits as long as I could. I do not want to go through tha agony if it is Big Pull Back so I took my profits first. I will also sell if candlestick formed a Bearish pattern without it hit my Trailing Stop.

1)PERISAI--Av Price=$1.61 ( Closing=$1.70, P&L= +5.6 %), Stop loss (2)=$1.57. Risk= -2.5%. Tp1=$1.66, TP 2=1.73. (Exp Trading Range $1.55 to $1.66).
Note : As suggested 2 days ago the momentum of the downward movement has decresed and PERISAI stage a strong rebound today. Now the question is whether it could break its previous high of $1.73 to set new highinto uncharted territory.A break above $1.73 with volumes may take it to my next estimated TP of $1.90. I have increased my stop Loss to 1.57(If violated) to reduce my risk. Also I may clear to lock in profits if $1.73 could not be taken out.

2)MUHIBAH--- Av Price=$2.29 ( Closing=$2.40, P&L= +4.8 %), Stop Loss(2)=$2.20. Risk= 4%. Tp1=2.39, TP 2=2.47. (Exp Trading Range $2.23 to $2.38 ).
Note: As Suggested Yesterday Muhibah issued a short term BUY signal, and it rebound and hit my first TP of $2,39 today. It is expected to move higher to my next TP of $2.47.Immediate support is adjusted to be $2.27. I have also increased my Stop Loss level to $2.20( if violated) to reduce my risk.

You can see the above 2 stocks I have increased the Stop Loss levels because the level is still below my purchasing price so I still use the term Stop Loss. Once I set the level when it higher than my purchasing price I will term it Trailing Stop in future to avoid confusion.

Gong Xi Fatt Choy and Happy Trading..

4th FEB—Weekly Summary

1)GUH-- AV Price=$1. 06 (Closing=$1.02, P&L=-3.8 %), Stop Loss=$0.99. Risk= -6.6 %. Tp1=$1.12/$1.14. (Exp Trading Range $0.99 to $1.07).
Note : Formed a Doji (Indecision and price can move either way), sideways movement is expected. It is still on downward movement but the downward momentum has decreased. Any rebound may find resistance at $1.07 and strong resistance at $1.12/$1.14. As the counter is not trending I may clear on any opportunity to protect my capitals.

2)MUHIBAH--- Av Price=$2.29 ( Closing=$2.40, P&L= +4.8 %), Stop Loss(2)=$2.20. Risk= 4%. Tp1=2.39, TP 2=2.47/$2.53. (Exp Trading Range $2.23 to $2.38 ).
Note: Muhibah hit my first TP of $2.39, the downward momentum has decreased.3 white candles last 3 days imply bullish uptrend. A break above $2.41 is expected to move higher to my next TP of $2.47. Immediate support is adjusted to $2.30. I have also increased my Stop Loss level to $2.20( if violated) to reduce my risk

3)PERISAI---Av Price=$1.61 ( Closing=$1.70, P&L= +5.6 %), Stop loss (2)=$1.57. Risk= -2.5%. Tp1=$1.66, TP 2=1.73. (Exp Trading Range $1.63 to $1.73).
Note :The momentum of the downward movement has decreased and PERISAI is expected to test its previous high of $1.73..A break above $1.73 with volumes will take it into the uncharted territory to my next estimated TP of $1.80/$1.90. I have increased my stop Loss to 1.57 (If violated) to reduce my risk. Also, I may clear to lock in profits if $1.73 could not be taken out.

4)TAS-- Av Price=$1.23( Closing=$1.16, P&L= -5.7 %), Stop Loss=$1.13. Risk= 8%. Tp1=$1.20. TP 2=1.27. (Exp. Trading Range $1.13 to $1.20).
NOTE: Missed the opportunity to cut losses when it broke below $1.16 as I was away for CNY shopping. The only good thing is RSI and price formed a Bullish Divergence which may see some rebound from TAS. Any rebound may find resistance at $1.20, unless it could break and stay above $1.22 steady downward movement can be expected.

5)ULICORP— AV Price=$1.06(Closing=$1.02, P&L=-3.8 %), Stop Loss=$0.98. Risk= -7.5 %. Tp1=$1.08, TP 2=$1.19. (Exp Trading Range $1.00 to $1.08).
NOTE: It is trapped in the downtrend channel, the downward momentum has started to slow down. Any rebounds should find resistance at $1.08/$1.10.May clear on any technical rebound to protect my capitals.

Last week I took some losses to close on few counters before CNY, I also cleared PRTASCO and HEVEA to protect my capitals. It was a difficult week no doubt as my profits for the month of January reduced substantially after those losses.

#No matter how experience or how profitable we might be, once a while we do get ourself in a Hole#.

I am monitoring Alam, Brem & PERDANA.

Happy Trading…

novice8,Muhibah shows weakness today by closing weak, may re test $2.26/$2.23.Remember to exit if $2.20 is violated.Unless you are long term investor then the next exit level is $2.08( if violated).

Today i bought in Brem & Hevea...

ISY7, chart for IRIS..

IRIS—After hitting a high of $0.47 on 15/01 ( formed an inverted hammer on top) imply some pull back, which it did and consolidated to the low of $0.37. The consolidation looks over, the downward momentum has slowed down. And if $0.37 stays, it is expected to move back to re test its immediate resistance at $0.42/$0.435, and previous high of $0.455/$0.47. Exit if $0.36 is violated.

Happy Trading..

# MONEY—What really is this thing that we keep spending our lives trying to get more of it? I met an older runner from Penang at Chiangmai Marathon and he told me he thought” he makes money his whole life, but now realized the money had made his whole life” (In Hokien).#

1) BREM-- AV Price=$1. 96 (Closing=$2.03, P&L=+3.7 %), Stop Loss=$1.86. Risk= -5.1%. Tp1=$2.08, TP2=$2.20. (Exp Trading Range $1.98 to $2.08).
Note:Bought in BREM today with average price of $1.96. The downward momentum has slowed down so more rebound could be expected towards the immediate resistance at $2.08. If break above with volume should try next TP of $2.20. Immediate support is at $1.96 and a break below $1.95 implied weakness.

2) HEVEA -- AV Price=$1.05 (Closing=$1.07, P&L=+2 %), Stop Loss=$1.00. Risk= -5.%. Tp1=$1.20, TP2=$2.39. (Exp Trading Range $1.03 to $1.10).
Note:Re enter HEVEA today after the support of $1.01 holds, the momentum is still downward but like support $1.01 tested and hold . A break above the $1.10 signal breakout from its downtrend channel, I will Scale in more shares. Strong resistance is at $1.20(Dark cloud formed on 23/01) which is also the neckline for the double bottom breakout.

I am holding 7 counters now so won't be monitoring any stock at the moment. EIG looks good for more upward movement.

sephiroth, INSAS is still bearish (So many counties have turned bearish after recent drop), but it manages to hold above $0.765 which is a good sign. It will start stage 4 of the cycle if $0.765 is broken. Now it is on technical rebound with immediate resistance at $0.825/$0.86. Very strong resistance is at $0.89 which is also its downtrend resistance line. If this level is broken with volumes the counter will turn to be very Bullish.

I am also looking at FRB today, some more rebound looks like on the way..

Happy trading..

Vivi Yap, for Padini it just broke below the support of $1.63 indicating maybe stage 4 of the cycle is not over yet. It sets a new low of $1.58 two days ago, but whether this is the new bottom yet to be proven. The downward momentum has slowed down lately, so any rebound may find immediate resistance at $1.63 and strong resistance at $1.70. From your comment that the price is attractive at this level I presume you may want to bottom fishing. If so, be very cautious and set the Exit level below $1.58.

Sephiroth, INSAS tested $0.765 and hold, now it is rebounding towards $0.86 and strong resistance at $0.89 (Downtrend resistance line).

Happy Trading...

# The market is a nonlinear function and not a classical linear function, that is why 90% of traders, using technical analysis lose consistently. TA is based on the assumption that the future will be like the past, and use linear techniques for analysis.# --That is why I always said TA can only use a guide for entry/exit, a proper plan is the only way to make $$$ in the stock market.

BREM-- AV Price=$2.00 after scale in (Closing=$2.18, P&L=+11.2 %), Trailing Stop=$2.10. Risk= 0 %. Tp1=$2.08, TP2=$2.20, TP3=$2.27. (Exp Trading Range $2.14 to $2.27).
Note: BREM hit and break above my TP1 of $2.08 which I “Scale In” another 50% shares at $2.09, now my Av price has increased to $2.00.If break above $2.20 it is expected to test next resistance at $2.27 and final TP of $2.36(Its previous high).I have changed the Stop Loss to Trailing Stop at $2.10 to protect my profits.I may also sell into strength as return of more than 10% for such a short period is very satisfying.

I am monitoring FRB as it formed a ‘morning Star” pattern on the candlestick chart.

TAS-- RSI and Price are forming Bullish Divergence, the downward momentum is also slowing down, more upward movement can be expected soon.

Happy Trading..

how about Solutn and Tadmax

air01557, welcome to this thread.

TADMAX—Very Bullish after breaking out from $0.41 and is at satge 2 of the cycle. It is testing its strong resistance at $0.565. A breach above this level may take it to its immediate target of $0.61 and the next top of $0.66.The only problem with this stock is it has lots of overhang to clear from buyers that were caught last year when it was trading at $0.70 to $0.85 level. Some of these “involuntary investors” will try to clear their positions to reduce the losses to limit its uptrend movement. Upward momentum has slowed down any consolidation may find support at $0.51 and strong support at $0.48/$0.45.

SOLUTN—Very Bullish after breaking out from $0.35 and is at stage 2 of the cycle. It is on uncharted territory and hit its immediate target of $0.42 today. Separating Line occurred yesterday with a Big white candle imply bullish uptrend should continue.Any consolidation offer opportunity to collect for future play. Immediate support adjusts to $0.39/$0.37, very strong support at $0.35.Exit if $0.35 is violated.

novice8, TAS immediate resistance is at $1.20, good luck.

HEVEA is moving towards my Tp1 of $1.20, immediate resistance is at $1.16.

Happy Trading...

Novice8, if you are buying those stocks I am buying, please have the discipline to take losses when the trade turns against us.

HEVEA should find immediate resistance at $1.16,strong resistance at $1.20 ( Neckline for double bottoms formation), if break above the next TP=$1.40 by calculation.

GUH—It is still trapped inside the Bullish Flag formation, a break above $1.07/8 signal breakout. I cannot advise whether you can buy or not, you need to make that important decision yourself, don’t ever let anyone tell you when to buy and sell. As I mentioned in my earlier post, you want to be your own pilot if the plane is going to crash, traders life is we don’t answer to anyone. We are our own Boss !!

hello matrixcool, can u pls check on pworth, dsonic, ewein?

matrixcool

1,307 posts

bliss, welcome to this thread.

PWORTH—Stage 1 of the cycle or what we call accumulation stage. Rectangle trading between $0.225 to $0.275. If $0.225 is violated next strong support is at $0.21. Traders like us normally would not participate in stage 1 but if break above $0.275 with volumes, it may start its stage 2 of the cycle with the immediate target of $0.325/$0.34.

DSONIC—Very Bullish and uptrend is very much intact. It is expected to re test its immediate resistance at $2.37/$2.41. If break above with volume it has a TP of $2.74. Any consolidation should find support at $2.11/$2.08, very strong support is pegged at $2.00. For short term trader exit if $2.00 is violated.

EWEIN—Briefing violated the important support of $0.985 to set a new low of $0.97. The violation of the support happened at very low volume so not to be over concerned. Rectangle trading between $0.985 to $1.12. It is at stage 3 of the cycle or what we call Distribution stage (Prices can be volatile at times). The downward momentum has slowed down so any rebound should find resistances at $1.08/$1.12.A break above $1.12 will find strong resistance at $1.20, a break below $0.985/$0.97 with volume signal beginning of stage 4 cycle, exit to limit your losses.

novice8, that is the right thing to do. We make our own decision. I wish you to be a consistent successful trader in your trading. No matter how good you are, remember that once a while we do get into a hole.

Happy Trading..

Novice8, TAS has shown Bullish Divergence past few days, that means accumulation is going on. I am not surprised it is challenging $1.20 today. If break above $1.20 should try next resistance at $1.26/$1.32(Previous High).

As mentioned earlier HEVEA should try its immediate resistance at $1.16 and strong resistance at $1.20.

7th FEB 2014

# February started well with the first trade clocking over 12% profits, trade well and the $$$ will follow #

1) HEVEA -- AV Price=$1.07 after scale in (Closing=$1.16, P&L=+10.5 %), Stop Loss=$1.00. Risk= -7.0%. Tp1=$1.20, TP2=$1.40. (Exp Trading Range $1.10 to $1.20).
Note: I Scale in another 50% of Hevea when it broke above $1.10, now my Av cost has increased to $1.07. It is moving to my first target of $1.20(Dark cloud formed on 23/01) which is also the neckline for the double bottom breakout. If break above $1.20 with volume( I may scale in more shares) Hevea has a TP of $1.40. My risk has increased to 7% as I have not set my trailing stop to protect my profits yet. I may also clear if it can”t clear the resistance of $1.20 to lock in profits first.

2) TAS-- Av Price=$1.23( Closing=$1.20, P&L= -2.4 %), Stop Loss=$1.13. Risk= 8%. Tp1=$1.20. TP 2=1.26/$1.32. (Exp. Trading Range $1.13 to $1.20).
NOTE: As suggested it rebounded after RSI and price formed Bullish Divergence for the past few days. It hit my TP1 of $1.20, a break above $1.20 with volume will take it to my Tp2 of $1.27/$1.32.The final target is estimated at $1.40.

BREM hit my TP2 of $2.20 today ,which I cleared 50% of my holding to lock in my profits, very happy with the returns of 12.2% over a 2 day period. The remaining 50% I may clear if it can’t break above $2.22 soon.

ULICORP consolidation looks over, may try to break out from its downtrend channel soon, if break above $1.08 with volume I may scale in more shares.

I am monitoring FRB & KSL…

Happy trading...

Chrisgeorgeis, welcome to this thread.

I used to trade on GHLSYS too, but it hit my Stop Loss level last month ,so I am out of the stock.

Like most of the stock it is doing technical rebound. The short term upward momentum has increased, any further upward movement should meet its strong resistance at $0.80/$0.81.( The Downtrend resistance line). A break above this level with volume signal break out and counter will turn bullish. Immediate support adjusts to $0.72 and strong support at $0.675. Exit if $0.665 is violated.

Happy trading..

Thank you so much for the great answer. I think you're doing a splendid job. I was looking at ghlsys and silk. Freed up funds from getting out of hevea.
