After more in depth analysis.......

#1 Next week (9/May - 13/May) will be critical, if you see a major slide down of HSI or S&P500 then it confirms my observation. ................ The correction will be fast and furious, bottom of HSI would be ~18480.

#2 KLCI is the first to get hit first, then US market and HSI will follow.

I have long shared similar views like yours, from end2015 of the "coming 2007-2008 style" to a milder one for klci and HSI (my figure quite close 18280--reading the same charts???).

But overtime, (esp since the US Presidential Campaign started) I noticed the 90-100% chance of 2008 CRASH (July to Jan2009) has been watered down if not postponed/deferred.....and the probability of a wholesale full-blown crash (still there) but down from 90-100 to 50-60% (my personal view).

Have you considered :

1. US Election (voting Nov2016,swearing in Jan2017), Yellen/govt elites will do everything in its powers to avert/intervene any looming (crash) disasters, especially in capping the UDX ( & so the USD/MYR)
.... the policy repetitions of "business as usual" n "kick can down the road" from 2016 to at least Jan2017.....

2. The stubborn determination of OIL recoveries going on currently..( n so its saving effects on Msian Budget deficits, National income, n so the MYR and KLCI.....

I expect a strong recovery starting next Monday......on HSI for many days, so is buying next 2-3 days around 0.25, to hold for a week after .

Bilis2, yes I have considered the USA president election. If correction did happen, it is no surprise as election needs money. It is typical for USA market to have 2 times corrections during the election years, other market may be one or none. I hope that my observation is wrong then HSI can have a strong run up next week, anyway, just take some precaution if my observation is true. The crude oil will be around US$40 - 50 in this Q2, this is the big boys wanted it to be. I didn't see an imminent crash yet, just a correction. HSI and KLCI will only have a strong recovery after the correction.

hiaptek .. monitor the previous high at 525 ! failing to take out this level, we will see lower high ... further there are 5 waves seen on 5m chart so if want to play very short-term, do monitor closely first !

KLCI 5-5-2016

CI might have found the bottom at 1636 on 3-5-2016.
Need to crack above 1670 to be in the safe zone.
current run from 1530 to 1729 can be labeled a ABC done..

however, I am a bit optimistic that market might test 1765 to end the run from 1530.
currently, i am taking it as a of C (1600-1729), b of C from 1729 to 1636, c of C probably will test 1765 minimal if it able to crack above 1729.

All my above waves are cancelled if CI dip below 1600.

Today buy hsi-c, chances for a technical rebound is higher today. Take precaution, when hsi breaks below 20330, sell c and buy h. Close your position end of the day.
