the most stupid behaviour I observe in every forum is seeing people buying more because the share price has gone up.


here is a good typical example.


he bought at 1.5 sen. he waited cautiously. he assessed the company. he now has a position. he has carried risk on board. the price went up to 2 sen but few buyers. if he sold, he probably can do so at 1.5 sen; painful as will incur some loss due to transactional cost.

the price then climbed to 2.5 sen. 2 sen were quickly snapped up and if you have to buy at 2 sen, there were few sellers. 2.5 sen can be bought readily and immediately. he was excited. the price has moved. the story must be true. someone is godly: what a great guy indeed. fearvof missing out swells within him, driven by greed. it must be true, it can easily reach 30 sen. i am so lucky my 2 sen got filled. i wanted more.

the train has left the platform. it is now 2.5 sen. soon it will no longer be 2.5 sen but 3 sen. i am so lucky to get my orders filled at 2.5 sen. now my average cost is 2.16 sen. i will make an annoincement to the world. see, my average cost is 2.16 sen; the price was 2 sen. i am so smart and a genius.

human behaviour is so fallable. in investing the greatest enemy is yourself.

let us observe how the story unfolds.

Noticed that in the morning session, no manipulation of the price. Some shares were transacted at 1.5 sen a few times.

Then the manipulations started again in the afternoon session. This time it is buying 100 shares, 100 shares and 300 shares, repetitively. Probably just to hookwink those looking at charts. It is also to always placed the price back at 2 sen, as depicted below.

Always check the daily transactions for volumes and prices, wherever it involves calvin and friends.


This was the 1113 phenomenon.

U need to understand mah....if u tell a teenager who has just started University...surely this guy has no profit and draining the parent cash while pursuing education for the better future mah...!!

Likewise netx shareholder is looking at its future good prospect, just like the university student is investing in its educations thus incurring parent expenses, netx is investing in its blockbuster apps & software today plus NFCP Rm 50.3b rollout coming future prospect mah..!!

Most importantly Netx still have big resources to invest loh...!!

Shootup Understanding Manipulation

Manipulation takes many forms in the markets. One way people can deflate the price of a security is by placing hundreds of small orders at a significantly lower price than the one at which it has been trading.

Investors get the impression that there is something wrong with the company, so they sell, pushing the prices even lower. Another example of manipulation is placing simultaneous buy and sell orders through different brokers that cancel each other out.

This form of manipulation gives the perception, due to the higher volume, that there is increased interest in the security.

Market manipulation are transactions which create an artificial price or maintain an artificial price for a tradeable security.

Examples

A syndicate gets a block of shares of say, two million and churns a daily trading volume of say, five million shares. This is done by buying and selling the same shares over and over again by syndicate members and their nominees.

The churning is done in such a way that the share price goes up every day, irrespective of sentiment on the market.

The trading activity and rising price momentum gets the attention of punters. The more experienced punters usually recognise the share price is being ramped up. Nonetheless, they pile in to make a fast buck, and hopefully get out before the syndicate withdraws support for the share price.

There will be, however, punters who are newer to the game or have more greed and they stay too long in the stock. When the syndicate sells out within a day or two, usually causing the stock to trade limit-down, punters lose their shirt.

The profits of the syndicate are shared among themselves. Usually, this involves major shareholders of companies that are loss-making in their business. Ramping becomes the only way the major shareholder can make a profit.
