Business Background Evergreen Fibreboard Bhd is a furnishing company based in Malaysia. It is one of the leading worldwide producers of quality engineered wood-based products consisting of Medium Density Fiberboard and Particleboard. It also has under its portfolio downstream products such as Paper, Veneer, Printed, Melamine Board Laminations, RTA Furniture, Sawn Rubberwood Timber, Biomass Wood Pallets and up-stream products like Resin and its own Rubber Trees Plantation. The company's manufacturing facilities are located primarily in Malaysia and in Thailand and Indonesia and it derives its revenue from the sale of medium density fiberboard and other wooden products predominantly in the United States.

The loss before tax was mainly due to foreign exchange loss of RM13.46 million being recorded in current quarter as compared to a foreign exchange gain of RM1.72 million in the preceding year corresponding quarter.
