As an investor, I would like to invest in a company that is growing, year after year, quarter after quarter. I think only Hua yang fits that criteria here.
My emphasis has always been on growth, with manageable debts of course.

Datuks set up private colleges, lure students. Students borrow, give to datuks as tuition fee, datuks make profit, students graduate, find no job because of glut, cannot pay PTPTN, government lose money.
Basically in simplified equation, money from government to money to datuks via students.

Unfortunately safe cars are always expensive in Malaysia.
Drive a good car for the safety.
No point spending hundreds on life insurance premium which will be paid out after you have died in a car accident in which your death could have been totally preventable if your car was good.

Read in one of the 'Little Book' that if you put your money with the investment houses, after 26 years they will have more money than you do. That is the absolute return they are interested in.

The normal politicians can.
But our politician, the 'rakyat first, performance now' type, they can see further than that. They see a "blue ocean".

The reasons for our success:
1. medium of instruction. We are what in the investment world called "contrarian". Others use English, we use .... well you know.
2. speed of change. We change our syllabus almost yearly in 'rapid' response to needs. Of course with change comes new textbooks, new stationery etc which of course is sourced from .... someone's son in law, I suppose.
3. good leaders, who are in NO WAY corrupt. Leaders who have work from the cow ranch and up. We call them cowboys.
4. lessons from the pigs and whores of the leaders.

Come to think of it, this is perhaps partly due to the current political situation. Any one who wishes to have power will have to keep the government servants happy -- increasing salaries and bonuses-- and indirectly keeping bank rakyat, aeon credit, RCE and MBSB very happy

To illustrate my point, after their children study overseas (and sometimes they themselves), they found that they have become immoral pigs and whores. So they introduced lots of moral and religious classes in our schools, in the hope that our kids do not become pigs and whores like their kids (or themselves).
Point proven.

We have the best education system in the world. When our very smart politicians send their children overseas, it is to see the FAILINGS of the overseas education system, not because ours is no good.
You see they sacrifice the education of their own children for us RAKYAT.
So now you appreciate them????

kcchongnz, what makes mudajaya stands out is that it does this all the time. Most of its company announcements are concerned with share buyback followed by esos.
How can the share value goes up if the 'lucky' employees with eSos keeps cashing in the gain?

Stock

2013-01-13 11:58 | Report Abuse

Thank you lawrencelim.
But I was thinking. In this ESOS scheme, the employee gets to buy a share of mudajaya @ 1.90 per share. That is immediate gain of 80 sen per share.
Who in is right mind would not exercise the option. If it goes to hardworking deserving employees, it is ok.
But isn't it open to abuse by certain parties?

Sorry for being repetitive, but this question has been nagging me for months.
"Can anyone tell me why mudajaya keeps buying back it's own shares at market price and issuing esos at below market price. Who are the employees getting the esos? Does it mean the beneficiary of the esos gets instant profit? Will it affect the price of mudajaya? Do they have to do it whole year round?"
TQ
