Today’s share price softness probably reflects concerns of a change in government. Nevertheless, the company remains positive that it’ll soon get e-gov concession renewal letter. It’s also confident in clinching the NIIS contract.

- *we understand that the Ministry of Human Resource’s officially launching MYEG’s one stop Covid-19 e-portal service* this weekend. This portal enables employees on Socso claims process and to arrange for Covid-19 testing.

- Currently, they are focusing on screening the foreign workers first, but MYEG also anticipates the opportunity to eventually extend its screening for inbound and outboard business travellers too (eg essential business travelers between SG-China are not subject to quarantine but need to be tested).

- *Driving license renewal and motorbike renewal service* to start on coming Tuesday.

- *Concession renewal for e-government services* and *Immigration Related Services* - expects official letter by early next week.

- *National Integrated Immigration System (NIIS)* which has an indicative contract value of RM1.2b-1.6b *will be awarded before 15th July’s parliament meeting*. MYEG has formed a consortium with S5 and HeiTech Padu to bid for this contract.

MYEG with years of experiences not gonna lose the battle over some China led company. Beside government money should benefit locals. Unless local companies do not have the kind expertise.

i think we all agree that MYEG is a good company, bringing costs down and increase efficiencies for government agencies services. and now they are expanding to other countries to reduce dependency for Malaysia market.

However, there is no escape from linking MYEG to politics especially when there is any change in government etc. then there will be huge drop of share prices; affecting retail shareholders.

what the government should do is to encourage state funds such as EPF, KWAP, etc to own the majority of the shares, so the stakeholders are benefiting it. at the same time, they can channel more projects to MYEG, no problem if it is a monopoly, just like TNB.

UOB Kay Hian Research remained confident that MyEG will be able to extend its concession this round, riding on its “undisputed efficiency” and the “lack of other alternatives” so far.

“We understand that there have been no visible attempts by other companies to offer similar e-government services.”

It also pointed out that MyEG has introduced additional online services to bring conventional services to the digital platform.

MyEG launches Covid-19 one-stop portal

KUALA LUMPUR (June 7): MyEG Services Bhd has launched a one-stop portal for Covid-19 screening, a service aimed at helping the government monitor and accelerate the testing of workers in Malaysia.

In a statement, MyEG said the one-stop portal serves as an alternative channel for employers in the country to register and schedule Covid-19 screening for their workforce in conjunction with the Social Security Organisation’s (Socso) Prihatin Screening Programme.

MyEG said through a partnership with a panel of approved clinics, the company will arrange for screening to be conducted on-site at employers’ premises by trained medical practitioners adhering fully to Ministry of Health (MoH) guidelines.

It said upon the completion of screening, workers will be issued a QR code-based digital certificate on a mobile application by MyEG which will serve as proof of testing recognised by the Ministry of Human Resources.

in a poor governance environement, directors can buy which is transaprent and get syndicates to sell, at higher price. We know when directors buy they attract wider investment from retail customers. There is no explanation for tight hoding patter over an extended period. Simple. Nobody is saying that MYEG does not have good prospects, but it has no relationship with price movement.
