Hi Ivan9511, if you are a speculator/contra player u can try hibiscus.. But again the outlook for oil and gas is quite bleak....banks are fighting for deposits to boost their loan to Deposits ratio.. might can find furniture or semicone industry.. Just my 2 cents

Just like some other shares, STAR will give positive review on Saturday and the shares go up on Monday, then days later the price will fall. Last time star news of armada and misc push armada to a high of 1.16 , then denied by misc, and price dropped to 0.995.

Please check bursa for the CIMB dividend announcement. If you owns the share before the ex-date of the share, u will be entitled for the dividend.

I think the worst is likely over for CIMB. Financial results have improved further this quarter over the previous quarter. Hopefully the improved performance is reflected in CIMB's share price.

I have been keeping CIMB since 2008 and are still accumulating whenever there is an opportunity and when the value is right. We should not be overly concerned with certain period of revenue up and down. As long the bank is managed well, no worries.

As for the foreign funds, they are selling based on the negative reports on the country's fundamentals as well as the negative outlook for financials counter. Reversal will only happen with the outlook reverse (of course it will be based on analyst report again). Do some rea up from Nikkei Review and from some other foreign review on how foreigner view our country.

Besides CIMB, I am accumulating Maybank and waiting for PBB to reach my target price.

Well, whenever the price drop fear does sink-in. Buy into this type of counter with different mindset as compare to goreng counter.

I also buys some goreng counter for the excitement but beware it is coming to the tail end of second phase...curtain for some has be released. Cheers and enjoy the excitement of investing.

Rights issue coming very soon lah .. maybe next month before US Fed rate hike. Still want to play kah ? How many dumb assess get trapped again and again with false buy signal. Now only question is 1:2 or 1:3 or maybe 1:4 RI. Until this issue is resolved better to avoid CIMB.
Shift to RHB or MB ... much more predictable.

EPF bought today. If exclude MSS RM 134 million cost profit should be over RM 900 million in 3rd qtr.

First local bank to give MSS(reduce staffs) this year so should reap the benefits next year. EPS should easily climb above 40 sen next year giving PE about 10 only.

I don't think CIMB is going to call for right issue. They have fulfilled Basel III requirement. So unstable compare to RHB, MB or Pak Man's bank due to its close relationship to Jib?. It is jittery when it reports profit is down 10%. It is cyclical nature of business. It's just my 2 cents. Not any sort of recommendation. Anyway, got in again yesterday @4.49.

Ambank need to pay RM 50 million penalty to BNM. CIMB after completion of MSS payment in 3rd qtr will save RM 134 million starting 4th qtr 2015.
