If there is any bank merger CIMB tend to gain with their low P/B ratio compare to major banks eg Maybank, Public Bank, HL Bank, AFG, etc.

Read today Star Khazanah is planning to sell Bank Muamalat but not CIMB. What is Khazanah plan with CIMB? Privatised like Kulim?

Similarity in what I see in CIMB and Kulim other substantial shareholder is selling but not major shareholder. In Kulim case KWAP is selling and CIMB case EPF is selling but Khazanah is buying but not selling so far last few months.

Come I give u guys simple valuation for Cimb. (4.10+4.70+5.60)/3=??..that's the limit on higher side for now. For lowest side just 30% x 4.56 =??..

I do not know how EPF play a stocks like CIMB. They used to buy a lot at RM 5, RM 6 and above o/w how can their holding become above 17%(high % holding for banks). Why are they selling at loss now below RM 5? However major shareholder Khazanah not following them with only buy transactions below RM 5. No wonder got people warn about EPF money no more the way they lose money trading in stocks like CIMB. Anyway ValueCap is coming so Khazanah as 1 of ValueCap partner will buy during any further dip.

Read yesterday Star CIMB is among top 10 holdings(4.7%) of Aberdeen Assets Management(they choose it because "ideally we need to be confident that the company will be profitable for at least 8 to 10 years"). CIMB is held for 8 years(meaning since 2007).

Aberdeen got 483.3 bil pound assets under management as at 30th June 2015 with MC 4.65 bil pound.

We have found 4 eyes looking at a company prevents a single fund manager from falling in love with a stock-Gerald Ambrose(Aberdeen Asset Management MD)

Kwsp funds are managed by fund managers... Most analyst is giving unfavourable analysis on Financil services counter. They are giving banks a miss. One reason is the heavier burden of bank shareholders to fulfill Basel III requirements. Hence you can see the sellibg but some funds manager.

Yeah kucingmiao thats true. However Cimb did not need to issue right to raise capital to meet Basil 3 requirement. Infact it capital adequate. Unlike other bank such as rhbcap and hong leong, recently they make right issue for raising capital to meet Basil 3 requirement. Just revently cimb in spotlight of asset quality issue.

And right now I am facing some problem , Can someone tell me why ???

Just now i saw this counter very cheap so I trying to bought some .
however the system said you must key in the last price while closing sesseion, so I follow.
then the order successful and comfirmed
but I check the order q. it show Expired , I know that mean not success match as I know.
However I check my credit limit , the system already deducted my money but the status is still Expired.

So I think myself since the credit already deducted and the order statuts show Expired.

Then actually consider matched or not matched Woh ?

( I am using Maybank Investment Apps thru smartphone )

Usually if transaction match, the share will be in your portfolio section. If not then your queue did not match.

Currently I find out RHBCAP drop until history down today .
Any comment Guys .
CIMB I bought at 4.56 and I feel confidence at CIMB.So I am happy at 4.56
Maybank I bought at 8.4, which I feel very sad because I am too impulse, because I strongly feel Maybank will drop at around 8.2 or even lower, But mistake already made , I am very regret.
Now I aim RHB , IOI , Magnum and Shell .

The highest it can go RM 5.60-5.70

This Ivan9511, acknowledged you are new. But while you are collecting all those big clue chip.. why not considering those smaller export counter which is good in making money? Especially when ringgit is so weak lately. Good to hedge while u collect these blue chip counters. Based on your listed portfolio.. is quite nervous since at this time in those sector are under downward pressure. #just my 2 cent, trade at your own risk.
