Obviously, mbsb has Ltd cash to buy MIDF. Therefore will issue more shares in acquisition. At what price and value in this exercise since NTA of mbsb is 1.20?

If Midf will be acquired at book value.....it is not unreasonable to issue mbsb shares price at rm 0.90 to rm 1.20 loh!

There are some synergy for the merger. MBSB mostly on consumer banking while MIDF is on investment banking. Once merged, they can cross market their products to customers. As long as MBSB does not pay over the moon prices for MIDF, it can be good as MBSB will be one step closer to become a full fledge bank.

I don't see this deal taking too long on the negotiations, with EPF backing and MIDF being GLC, it's consider done. Good news could be out as soon as next week. Rush to buy while people are talking profits now.

Saying negotiations are just making fools to believe MBSB management are busy behind, but I am quite sure this is a marriage deal, all the lazy management are just sitting in their nice office waiting for the papers to be delivered on their desk top for them to lift their lazy hand for signing.

Any idea what MIDF acquisition can benefit MBSB?
MBSB biz models seems to cater for retail lending whereas MIDF is asset management, investment banking,etc.

Digital banking license are almost a done deal for the consortium including MIDF, which will soon be a part of MBSB. Those holding MBSB will soon be rewarded. I bet the news of acquisition will follow quickly after the awarding if the license.

KLCI compared to the other regional indexes are really the weakest, it has been hovering around 1500 to 1600 for almost a year and have not shown any strength to move up, and for that, most of the stock price will remain stagnant and difficult to move up....all thanks to the focus in political fighting rather then focusing on the economy. With poor gov performance and incapable leaders, we can hardly see any future in the KLCI. Hope I am wrong and be proven by a strong rally in weeks to come, but I think I can only remain hopeful.
