I guess the price will appreciate more in tandem with the finalised agreement which will be sign by both party as agreed via earlier MOU..RM2 is possible considering proton is already free from continuous burden for DRB..Apart from that DRB is continuing to spearhead into more profit driven by other related company..The current price doesnt reflect the true intrinsic value.Time will tell until DRB will propel into new heights!!

Epf goreng Drb up kaw-kaw to dispose.....Without a Doubt, drb is going to loose another 600m till the end of 2017. Najib is getting into a lot of trouble trying to rescue Drb (Sept 1biliion rescue plan) now in doubt bcoz Tony Pua is asking for Guarantee( sounds reasonable but politically motivated)

i never like drb bcoz of proton....drb without proton is a very profitable Co....I don't ask ppl to
gamble on a Co. when you know for a fact it is loosing hundred of millions.....you can gamble
on Airasia or Dne or Hibiscs or Even RHB (just sold down) and so many more.....why choose
Drb??? I can tell you for a fact Geely Cannot turn Proton around in a year bcoz of vendors on-
going contracts (this what a logistics company boss told me last night )

Following the announcement of the Geely-Proton agreement, we were treated to a short presentation of Proton’s future plans, which will involve the development of its first-ever SUV. The model will utilise the platform used on Geely’s best-selling model – the Boyue.

Measuring 4.5 metres long, the Boyue is designed by former Volvo designer Peter Horbury, who heads Geely’s design studios located in Gothenburg, Shanghai, Barcelona and Los Angeles.

In its domestic market, it is offered with a range of engines, including a 2.4 litre naturally-aspirated unit (162 hp/210 Nm) and a 1.8 litre turbo (163 hp/250 Nm). Transmission options include a six-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic, depending on engine choice.

The Geely Boyue also offers an impressive list of equipment like an eight-inch display screen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, and safety kit includes lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control (ACC), which allows the Boyue to match its highway cruise speed according to the car in front of it.

It wasn’t made clear how much of the Boyue design will be carried over into the Proton SUV, so we’ll have to wait and see how it shapes up. With the Boyue as a base, do you think Proton’s first-ever SUV could be one of the models that will revive the marque?
