The top 30 shareholders of DRB are big institution / mutual fund from local & foreign.Giant Vanguard is one of them.i believe they have done their research to invest in DRB HCM for long term & can continue to do well in future.

The owner of DRBHCM the richest Malay businessman in Msia Tan Sri Mokhtar .Associate to our current PM Tun M.Any goodies from the govt Tan Sri Mokhtar will be the front line to benefit.All of his company are doing well .MALAKOFF, RANHILL , MMC & etc.

Our previous govt are closed to Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar as well as they given DRB HCOM the chance to become the major shareholder of PROTON & partnership with GEELY to bring PROTON back to glory.Now they enjoy the rewards. DRBHCOM from lost making company have turn to profit.Is not easy to stay profit during this economy as many listed com suffered losses or slim profit.Before next GE foreign funds of DRB -HCM wont have to sell their shares even UMNO or PAS become our next govt.Tan Sri Mokhtar is / PAKATAN /BN / PAS friendly !

Long term goals for DRB hicom share is definitely a win win solutions but the underlying facts remain unpredictable with the global trade war tensions between China and US have seen unresolved and might affect global economic downturn as bonds have subsequently falls to the lowest ebbs that may resulted in recession to creep in..

Look like Monday profits taking is inevitable to emerge in DRB hicom share price as currently the qr results may have dampened to many short term investors sentiments to take precautions and remain sideline , however long term goals might remain positive as the facelift proton saga is currently is under geely is beyond competition fetching a price of 40,000 below with exceptional features worth with no comparison with Japanese cars price fetching higher car price. A drastic drop in DRB share price is opportunity to collect given the current potential as suggested by certain IB with its fair value to of 4++ including its attachments to bank maumalat under a new ceo and land bank which part of assets to be utilized and sustain for further future growth.

If you read DRB's CEOs briefing, one would realise that DRB is trying to focus more on automotive biz instead of being so widely diversified. hence they are divesting, alam flora, hospitality biz etc. Money from these divestments will be used to further expand PROTON 4S network, new plant in Pakistan and mount an effective expansion into ASEAN market.

Future evidence that PROTON have made tremendous headways of late are (a) Perodua latest promotion that suggests that PROTON is making a significant dent on their market share (b) more than 200 units SAGA booking per day todate and sustained volume of Pesona and Iriz volumes as well. When X70 assembly starts in Malaysia, I suspect, PROTON will then export it to ASEAN as well. If PROTON achieves 10K units a month, then real mone will start to roll into investors pocket.

DRB recurring profit is expected to improve further as it is unlikely that government will not adjust stamp tariffs upwards given that POS, have to shoulder the USB responsibility. Nobody wants to discharge this responsibility at a loss and everyone knows that this loss will grow bigger as snail mails volume are expected decline further moving forward.

My guess is the hike will be at least 100% because POS is in the midst of modernising its operations and if you look at their yearly capex level for last few years you will notice that current annual operating cashflows is insufficient and current cash level will run out in 2 to 3 years.

I believe it will sell like hotcake compared to HRV , CX-3.

But i just disagree with some idiot ,who comment it will raise up to RM3 today with such a 2sens+ disappointing result.
