we are maintaining our OUTPERFORM call on MRCB but with a lower SoP-driven Target Price of RM1.14 (cum-rights TP, RM1.48) from our previous TP of RM1.23 after factoring in a lower rights issue price of RM0.79 as compared to our previous assumption of RM1.00. We are positive with the rights issuance exercise as it brings MRCB back into a better financial footing coupled with the potential sale of EDL highway which would be an upcoming catalyst for the stock.- kenanga

If you have experience on the Rights issue of MBSB last year, then you will definitely understand why MRCB's current rights! Both are EPF counters. Last year, MBSB was pressed down to as low as 69.0 sen (rights subscription 59.0 sen) during OR listing period.... cut the story short, less than one year, MBSB price doubled up to RM1.45. For MRCB, I predict that the price will not double up but will up 50% from today's price to RM1.33 just before parliment dissolved/election.

Geo123 Friday is a good day to press down further by leveraging on the uncertainties of weekends. Short term traders usually would exit market on Friday. Cause a lot of things can happen during weekend be it globally or locally. If the syndicate has the intention to press down further, it would happen tomorrow. Based on today's trend, seem that the syndicate is still pressing down the price of MRCB.
