@SincereStock not really.. theoretically i think, yes holding warrant u might lose "dividend money", but i would think that if theres a surprise dividend and the payment of such dividend before the expiry of the dividend, then yes, its a greater loss to warrant holder. the structured warrants settlement via cash and is computed based on the 5d vwap up until the last day, minus the exercise price, divide by the ratio.. correct me if I'm wrong

if its a regular expected dividend, the price usually has been factored in, hence slight discount.. c24 is traded at a slight discount, but the exposure u get is like u are holding the mother share, but with cheaper price and greater potential upside in view of this super undervalued gem..

frankly if you are buying the CW for an strong uptrend stock then really can earn a lot with minimal capital...chinese said small knife cut big tree, i do keep a bit C23 and having some profits at the moment but due to the price is quite flat thus does not earn much. However, holding the CW for MMC is really scary as the mother is too heavy to fly....never ending dumping below 1.2..i thought this morning it really want to show its power...mana tahu, fake one...lol...really tricky. will keep the mother for longer term but cw is a question mark to me now.

joshua, now it is undervalue but after dividen paid become overvalue!! actually now the market already price in the ex dividen price. so dont think it is undervalue now.

no matter how you try to deny, there is always a cost to use lever in investment, only that "cost" seems to be hidden when you are making money with uptrend stock. you lose the "cost" before earn or lose more money in multiple (for using lever)

the same reason I don't recommend invest with borrowed money or contra, not only there will be more investment "cost" than playing with spare cash money, there is also possibility you are being forced to cut loss when the price go down. while those who invest only with spare money will have unlimited holding power with affordability to lose all the money in the most extreme case, without affecting his / her life financially

the scary thing about cw is about the expiry date. luckily all old cw are over their exercise price mean in value. so if dont want throw then hold till expire and get back the cash.

since mco last year, many TA sifus evolved and many newbies joined KLSE pool. They only play short term with huge volume so wont k about fundamental, getting lesser FA followers now, u see this uncle K also plays short term nowadays....KPS, Dominan, MNRB....
