kennyku: what it means is alcom management have to get confirmation from high court for resolutions passed by shareholders at egm recently which will b just a formality. Once it's done Alcom will submit to SC for approval on entitlement date etc...

TheContrarian, you are in a way right. Alcom is blazing furiously breaking uncharted territory with new high with each trading day. It's unbelievably defying beyond conventional technical chart indications and investors' forecast, recording YTD an all-time high of 2.27 within 5 years. It's still blazing like the latest China's HSR trains gliding effortlessly on trackless railway routes. Alcom's engine is already in moving kinetic speed picking up further acceleration as it advances towards its destination.
On the other hand, LBAlum engine has just ignited, just about to gather momentum pending QR release and dividend announcement. Alcom has two high-powered engines of special dividend of 20.5 sen and cash repayment of 32 sen. As I see it, LBAlum's performance will greatly hinge upon an excellent QR and generous dividend or probably an additional special dividend. Just my personal views not even 2 sen worth at all. Ha, ha, ha.

Zoomsbooms, I notice that LBAlum usually declare a dividend (albeit a small sum) in their QR ending 30 April. There shouldn't be no reason why LBAlum can't give any dividend. Market scenario is aluminium thematic play when aluminium counters are riding high on aluminium premiums and rewarding their shareholders with dividend, special dividend and in the case of Alcom a very attractive cash repayment.
