During pre-pendemic of Covid-19, the best was in Janiary to March 2017 where foreign funds bought Genting shares from RM7.50 to RM9.75. Tony Fernandes add flights to and fro for China and India. Hopefully, this is another catalyst for 3rd rise in a row.

As I said the share price should already be 5.00 plus based on revenue growth ….but we have weird investor profile with heavy selling pressure following a small rise…very frustrating …it could be programmed trade using software / algorithm with very low transaction cost …otherwise it just does not make sense.

We really need Genting management to be proactive in marketing the company …like having capital market day where they elaborate more on their strategy and propects….sadly these sort of companies the management are simply nit geared up that ..they find simple communications difficult!

@Riaz1954: Likewise YTLPOWER; According to Ooi Teik Bee (OTB) it should be trading at RM4.87 and not only RM2.30. Using very complicated mathematical calculations, the price should be RM4.87. This type of complicated calculation suits overseas mature share markets which is achievable but not in Bursa Malaysia. Very disappointed.

Even though I dun hv a crystal ball, I’m pretty sure it w get past 5 tis time around. In d worst case scenario even IF it still cannot for d 4th time, I w still wait on until it will eventually. As an investor I want Genting to do well more importantly the performance and growth prospects should reflect the share price. Whilst share price is moving upwards but still does not reflect forward potential worth all metrics suggesting. Genting is under valued! Why is this ? One reason is the management are not very with it in terms of communicating to the market this could be because large shareholding by one owner ..not motivated …jsut watch U.K. s Rolls Royce the engine and defence company capital market presentation the CEO Erginblic was fantastic total command of the business and share price flies and will do more …this is lacking in Genting….Taurx is the real catalyst thst is needed …even here no updates no information etc…jsut lethargy

@Riaz1954, I guess shareholders’ interests r given a higher importance in more advanced and informed capital markets. It’s not so much abt d controlling shareholders’ profile and wat they do, it’s more of how and wat Bursa as a regulator cud do to dictate rules of d game to regulate/liberalize d capital market further in d interest of shareholders of any public listed company. Once they put them in place, d rest w just follow thru and any shortcoming well addressed.

Genting Q3 shows that it has fully recovered to precovid earning fueled by robust USA & Singapore business. GenM is still lagging behind.
