I hear so much illogical stuff….like Chinese tourists will make a difference, flushing out weak shareholders, window dressing, keep buy on weakness ….! The reality the share price is based on supply and demand more sellers than buyers irrespective of underlying business performance ..the price will drop. Here lies the problem, who is selling all the time? This is typical of share ownership with one single shareholder….most institutions keep,for long term investment….. so this constant selling is on instruction for sure ….

The final week of December 2023 (window dressing) and the first month of 2024 (restructuring of portfolio) will help the blue chips counters. And the long awaited February 2024 (positive announcement of the 4th quarter results) will be an upward trend. I think by that time, the particular stockist seller mentioned by Riaz1954 should have sold all his/her shares.

When d general mood of d market is bullish, there’s little to no room for d bear to roam around. They hv no choice but to go into hibernation temporarily. Everything is just temporary only. The Universe is very fair to all as it rebalances everything over time. Unhappiness w become happy again and, vice versa. Do not worry/complaint too much abt anything tht’s beyond our control and, b happy and appreciative of watever we hv at present moment. Time is needed to realize our wishes, ONLY if we’re destined to hv those wishes fulfilled/granted. So, those sellers will not b in d way of GenB’s upward ascend eventually.

Next QR is too late. Today or tomorrow should U-turn up. Visual estimation from Penang Airport from 1st-7th December, international air passengers increase 50% from November MoM. Not sure about KL international airport. Penang tourist areas also started filling up by Chinese nationals........

Yes Genting Singapore will lead a higher growth in tourists receipts and earnings over next few years. As I forecast earlier, Genting Singapore would achieve EBITDA of S$1.4 billion for 2024. In the latest Sept 2023 quarter, it achieved EBITDA of over S$350 million, annualised to over S$1.4 billion better than my projection.

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 8): Gaming revenue at Genting Bhd’s Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) in Singapore will grow by another 10% in 2024, buoyed by the growth of a diversified customer based outside of China, according to Fitch Ratings.

In its “Global Gaming Outlook 2024” released on Thursday, the rating agency said that while Singapore is already performing “above expectations” with gaming revenues 15% higher than pre-COVID levels this year, Fitch analysts said that they expect such growth to continue, driven by increasing foreign visitors in 2024.

@keyman, that's right as YTL YTLPower have shown good progress in earnings rebounds and new projects, while Genting results had been disappointing until the recent Sept 2023 quarter, so it is just a timing issue.

My other stocks have mixed performance too, like BPlant is being taken over so no more upside but I have got close to 100% gain there. IGBB is doing well with share price touching year high, already up over 60% since I first recommended in Aug 2022. I have given up on AEON as the management does not seem to be proactive enough.

Now Genm Genting may see good catalysts ahead.

Genting was trading at above RM5.50 a share in early 2020. It has to go up by another 20% from its present level to reach its pre pandemic levels.

I studied the chart of Genting for end of 2022 and beginning of 2023. Not much movement at the end of 2022, but it ralled for January of 2023. Probably it will repeat the rally in January 2024.
