I remembered buying into YTLPower back in 2017 at RM1.50, and gradually averaging down to the lowest point of RM0.69 during COVID days .. and after holding on huge paper losses over the years, it has now paid off handsomely once its true value unleashed .. i believe GENTING too have the similar potential .. started accumulating between RM3 - 4 during COVID days, and continue picking up a bit more at RM4.90 this morning .. waiting to strike another jackpot few years down the road .. so, let's not get overly depressed with today's share price movement ya ..

Q1 NP rm588m, RM455m came from GenS. Just look at sister stock's performance (selldown after initial euphoria) can sometimes give a clue on how GenB will perform post Q1 result. Be alert and observant.

Good news here. My trading disciple just won his cohort's Year 2 finance course "Stock Trading Tournament" against over 100 competitors. I guided him along to whack GenS just before result, long HSI a month ago, sell and sell short on HSI last week. He will be offered internship at a stock brokerage (event organiser) after this semester during school holiday. Im also learning when Im coaching. I backed up my analysis with both FA and TA. There were some trades that went bad but we cut losses quickly and let our profits run until we think the rally is really over.

The listed entity is being run like LKT private entity providing cash flow to his private investment entity and funding his investment losses and not to forget pay himself exhoribant salary and other benefits for sure. Receiving dividend from the shares that you owned is very different than drawing a big salary from the company where you have majority control. Dividend is declared for all, fair and square, salary is approved and benefiting 1 person. It is tantamount to stealing really. Find me an example where owner draws a big salary, only tak tau malu punya owner will do such a thing.Worse, borrowing money to pay himself, this is thefts at another level. I think this AGM no give him face, just shoot him kaw kaw. At least we get an explanation what he is up to, retail investor definitely do not want to left holding the bag.

You see Genm dropped 5%, but he don't even bother to do some PR and damage control. This kind of boss do not deserve a salary. Compares him to tiktok CEO, he can't even hold a candle to him. Hire a CEO that is well spoken and care to do PR and save the company hundreds of millions in salary.

interesting to read many of the comments here especially on LKT's salary package and @Riaz1954 @mushimushi .... but what LKT is doing is well within his rights as the owner of the Group and all approved by the BOD, and this is not new its been there for ages.... the question is why do minority shareholders still place high trust in the company then? This u shd ask yourselves.... in my audit days I have covered genting AGMs, and believe me the company makes it so hard to attend it and the pastries offered are worse than the mamaks :-) heeee..... also the sessions are held at menara genting, and do you know that menara genting parking has no maximum fee..... if you park 2 hours its like RM30, 5 hours its like RM90..... if you park overnight can reach RM400-450.... hahaha well thats their trick, so against minority shareholders attending AGM.... but yet people invest in genting, so the question beckons WHY??
