arv18, I think u are the 1 who missed the point...i just point out the calculation based on ur example(about how u miscalculate)....

bout the company financial standing, i do agree with U tat MAS is in trouble (IF u read my previous msg,u will know why).

and yes.....I'm no expert, and I dun have any qualification to teach u anything...so no offense.

for your info, I DO NOT HOLD any shares in MAS now after i sold it for few K's profit at the 1st day of MAS-OR trading day.....

I just here to have a proper discussion and i do not intend to pick a fight with anyone...just offer my views on the share only.... :)

0.305 is 52 weeks low. Support is 0.30 if break this than 0.27 is possible.
Khazanah is majority shareholder of MAS. I'm sure they also "pening"
I already cut loss as my risk tolerance is very low & don't believe in holding any falling stock. MAS still in my watch list., will comeback when it is more stable. Release my capital now & look look see which counter to trade.

We will gain some experiences from the above 2 different thoughts, Arv18 versus tuan Syed. Discounting all the fundamental advices by Arv18, I am somehow with Syed for now. I think MAS is a dirt cheap counter to accumulate a few hundreds lots. If it goes further down or delisted/bankrupt,cheap counter cost small money only, small esp. for millionaires like tuan S.

If it goes up, say to 40 sens or higher against all odds, then the millionaire will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Funny thing we observe, successful investors often act strange, like when people sell they buy and when people buy they sell.

Such investment philosophy has resulted in them to become millionaires in life. On the other hand, those who are too smart often fail because they make simple things ifficult and difficult things become too simple to them.

Rules of inventments, career, health, etc. are well known to most people. The less smart ones follow them, they buy a cheap price when the smart people don't want. They buy share at major market crash, the buy houses when bubble has bursted, etc. However, we often see, at the end of the days, the seemingly stupid ones make more money, win the girls, healthy living, etc.

So learn to be stupid for a change and you shall be rewarded.

Based on today discussions we shall see - who will make the right call, arv18 or tuan Syed.

Deadwood, agreed. A lot depends on the situation the person is in...like Noraini; she made a decision and she acted... she would have the discipline not to look back...good or bad; nothing could be done after that. For those who can't afford to "loose"...then put your money in fd...seriously, our money doesnt come easy so it would be suicidal if you get into something you can't handle when the thing goes wrong. I read the comments here. Some of us get emotional ( not blaming you cos you might be stressed). These type of comments confuse people and not so helpful...at least i see we are going on the right track now...

definitely agreed with deadwood.....anyone who gets involve in the share market are of their own judgement....no one FORCED u to buy any shares. most people who come to forums intend to get some info/tips and make their own decision on stocks to buy/sell. if u think others make the wrong judgement, then go on to look for next info OR provide useful info for others(I seriously doubt the MILIONAIRES and TOP EXPERT would want to share info here without the BENEFITS/REWARDS).

so, if u want to call me LOSERS/MORONS, I let it be cos to be honest, i'm just a small player compare to those EXPERT out there.... :)
