4. Rest of product yield at 12%, using Mogas 95 cracks USD 13.96/bbl

Gross refining margin:

= (0.46 x 45.95 ) + (0.07 x 34.30) + (0.35 x 13.96)+ (0.12 x 13.96)
= 21.14 + 2.40 + 4.88 + 1.67
= US $ 30.1 / brl

Gross Profit at above derived present refining margin

= (10.7 million barrel sales per qtr) x ( US $30.1/brl) x (MYR 4.4/USD)
= 1.417 Billion MYR

My C24 and C26 not buying at peak price. In fact my C24 are all free since I sold some to take back my capital.

By the way do you think HRC current price already peak? Wait to see what is the peak when HRC report the Q2 and Q3 result.

HRC Q2 result will ne out by next week. Let the result speak for itself who is right.

MM is trying to play dirty by fearmongering "Crack spread already collapse - means Q3 onwards cannot perform alrdy" The facts we are only at the end of Aug and data for July and August show Mogas92 had retreated to about USD 10+ but Diesel and jet fuel still remain strong

I can only collect data when it happen.
So what makes U think mogas cannot recover back to USD 30+ and diesel spread will drop to 10?

By the way please just calculate HRC per quarter refining capacity 10+ million barrels.

So what are the refining margin/ cracks spread needed in order to acheive a gross profit of USD 100 million, 150 million, 200 million and 250 million?

Mogas maainly used by car and thus if mogas is expensive people will forced to drive less for leisure.

Diesel mainly used by commercial transportation, fuel for burning in boiler to produce steam for heating and power generation.

So if Russia reduce gas supply to EU the only replacement is diesel to replace gas.

And by next year EU will boycott Russia diesel and mogas
So go figure out what will be diesel and mogas price moving forward.

Will be happy if HYuan can reach former high of Rm7.77 and later reach Rm 8.88. Of course depends on Q2 results, middle expectation is RM 1.50/ share. Later should high Crack spread maintained due to Ukraine war, hopefully can reach former high of RM 17, which was achieved in 2017 based on lower Crack Spread. !

Mogas/diesel spread both peaked in June..since then, Mogas alrdy collapse 80% (back to 2019 level)

Diesel spread will be nxt to collapse (alrdy drop 45%)

Crack spread for Mogas95 at $14 /bbl is not disastrous. It had been most of the time in the past 10 years lower than this. Crack for diesel and jet fuels are at substantially higher level than the past and shall bring the extra $$$$$$.
No need to panic over softer Mogas92 price .

@MM, only complex refinery can try to improve yield of diesel by breaking down (catalytic cracking) of longer chain hydrocarbon like fuel oil...

but increasing yield from 35 - 46% is not enough... see the maths i had presented -its simply not possible.

The shortage of diesel has been there since Feb 22'this years and clearly present refinery cannot overcome this.

All refinery running full swing just to produce diesel and thats why the gasoline price had come down as its inevitably produced just like fuel oil which nobody wants and having negative crack spread
