So if the directors buying share of their company and at the same time do a SBB is consider insider trading?

Did any of the YTL directors sold any of their shares for profit?

If the shareholders foresee a brighter future of the company and execute share buy back, it is not insider trading. It is actually sending a positive signal to the investors. It's a pity that many still can't understand it.

No need to argue.. Obvious got some insider trading. In anything so fast down and then prop up again. Let SC decide whether to prosecute. But more important why still buy a counter proven to be political and not based on fundamentals. Otherwise how to drop to 90 sen limit down like collapsing just because a new government come in? Too risky to bet our retirement money on this younger management. YTL died right? So it's now FY only right?. No more YTL actually.. See today also down nobody buy without the SBB. So imagine if SC acts and the SBB is injuncted, then sure free fall fast on more than 50 Billion LIABILITIES.. U decide worth the risk still?

@KLSE_FAANG, after GE14 a lot of counters also gap down fast and go back up fast after a period and many companies do SBB as well not just YTL.. so i think from your so call "Theory" , SC must be very busy finding evidence to prosecute .. nice!

@I3ryan: I wasn't the one who brought up insider trading... it was KL_Insider. I was just sharing more information in relation to his argument about insider trading so that people here can decide for themselves whether there is any insider trading or not in YTL.

I only asked u to refer to someone else post bcoz u quetioned me "What is it got to do with YTL?" I asked u to read it youself bcoz I "don't want to say anything (about insider trading) & I don't want to make any accusations."

And then later u bombarded me with many more questions & demanded that i give further enlightenment.... u see what I mean by "don't b sensitive"?

Agree with Ethan Chan. Many people already disposed YTL shares. Notice the closing price on 31 July (end of last month) was RM1.35 and the closing price on 10 Aug (Friday) was RM1.37..... not much change even with 2 weeks of continuous share buy backs (SBB). But if people here want to keep YTL for long term also no problem la..... u don't lose money here, u only miss the opportunity of using the money to invest in other more promising companies.

Ethan Chan is right. The Yeohs cannot afford to keep continue to buy back shares if once stop the share sure collapse. And like supermax
Stanley Thai also never expect to be caught for insider trading.... But SC must investigate. If not how you know if billions bought under SBB and no Yeoh relative benefitted from the splurge of the SBB billions. Check carefully maybe somebody broke the law and we turn a blind eye. Some more this is a BN crony counter right?

Usually blue chip counters doing SBB will have to make public announcement and more importantly a moratorium on share purchases by their execs and immediate family members (see Shell plc)... Tan Sri Francis getting his Yeoh clan to buy YTL shares is not insider trading? Like the others say, forget about having nasi lemak ice kosong, can breathe oxygen considered lucky once the SC start investigating.

If there is no solid evidence, how could one accuse someone of internal trading? There are plenty of hedge funds outside, buying or selling thousands of shares is just easy peasy.
Again buy and sell at your own risk.. making monies is more important...

Already announced HSR cancelled. Only word defer indefinitely means cancelled Lorr..Blue meaning BN company la everybody also know just see how weak it collapsed after Dr M come in power. .. FLASH is right wait for 1.10 then think again buy or not. Now only SBB buying crazy themselves only. Take note, why debt so huge? Cos like developer borrow money to expand landbank and has high holding cost? Or like industrial counter borrow to upgrade factory to expand production which has unknown risk? Or like gomen link companies has soft loan with high interest like previous drb- proton case??
