Posted by Tien Lorng John Leow > 2012-12-04 15:59 | Report Abuse

Typical china man company, not easy to gain profit from this counter, some more dividend rate not attractive at all now...

Not atractive becz it doesnt generate fast profit? Eps around 11 cents a yr what your expect fr them? This is a nice pick for long term. Why? Cause they reserve a large portion of money for m&a and develipment. However, taking into consideration of ytlp warrant offered which is around 20cents lower than market value. Does it really rewards less for their shareholders?

Definitely will rise up, 14 jan 2013 next monday they will submit their bid. Excellent experienced management MAHB+cash king n oversea operator pioneer YTL = positive outcome

Posted by armadasaxon > 2013-01-11 17:35 | Report Abuse

well, they might fail in their bid as there are 2 othr competitors..all this news are yet to be verified as well..But if its true,i see ytlcorp starting to expanding into the UK.

YTL fall from 1.9+ to 1.8+, because investor afraid YTL in low cash position if win the London Stansted Airport by Joint venture with MAHB. Now they lose the bid ady, YTL price should rebounce back to 1.9+ as previously.

sentiment is bad, election is getting closer, its better to a break. chartwise, rsi is not yet oversold, momentum is on the down side, i think
price may go lower.

Obviously some parties need to cash out asap before election. At this price, pe is just slightly above 10. Most of its revenue came from overseas, therefore even bee end lose in election, impact is minimal.

YTL is not necessary the best company out there for investment, but it active volume and fluctuation is good for trading.

So, just buy low and sell high, you never go wrong, even if get stuck , YTL is still a solid company, the value is still there, nothing to worry about.

Cash rich like MBf Holdings... Family run biz, but give very little dividend. Not transparent. Internal borrowings to help ailing subsidiaries ...

Those companies that need high capex eg ytl power ... Funds moved around. So shareholders lose out.

Buying back shares :implied companies, has ampled cash , boosts market confidence, stabilzes their shares ,(not necessary increase) put the compnaies in profitable path as the shares bought were cheap.they could use these shares as angpow to reward their employees and boost employee performance.they also avoid paying more during payout dividend as lesser shares were now in the hands of investors.Extra cash from these owned shares valuations could be use to pay debts, financed expansion programs - benefitting investors and markets.
As long as their balance sheet valauation on their fundamentals are solid there is litttle to fear as the companies can keep growing better on the longer run.
