Yup, it's now in a good mood and being very sweet. But remember what J. Harcharanjit Singh had said: This is a gila stock:-) Have to set a target on selling with this particular upswing. The technical analysis by CP Teh says 2.80 might be a good time to get out. Let's see how it goes this time. But whatever, Mudajaya is a fundamentally good company with 40-plus EPS over the past few years. It should easily be above 3.00.

The EPS of 13.6 sen is higher than Petronas Chemical's 13. If Mudajaya can maintain it in the next quarter - or even a bit less - it would easily be in the 4.00-5.50-plus price range. I just can't understand why fund managers aren't putting more of their money into this company.

By the way, folks - Mudajaya is paying a 2.5 sen/share dividend next month. Might not be that much but still if you have many lots, the extra $$$ is welcomed.

Much better than CIMB TP of 3.78. Public Investment Bank Research is maintaining its outperform recommendation, with target price of RM4.20, pegged to 10 times price-to-earnings ratio (PER).

Harcharanjit: It's okay. After rising the past few session, I wouldn't be surprised if it were to consolidate a bit. This will give a chance to those who missed out to come in. There will be a new support level and when it is strong enough, will help push the price up.

Tabung Haji bought more than 600,000 today. Attracted by the dividend, most likely, which isn't too far away.

The OSK analyst had based the "Hold" call after doing a technical analysis only, most likely. Have to eat humble pie when it shot past 2.66. When analysing, one must also take into consideration the fundamentals - after all, isn't this what pricing stocks are about? I believe we should use a combination of technical analysis, fundamentals and current economic situation to decide on what to buy and when.

By the way, when it comes to analysts, no one can get it right all the time, of course. But based on my own experience, Affin is often correct than not. One of the most noticeable is on Bumi Armada last month when it was around 4.50. Almost all the other analysts made a "Buy" call - only Affin said "Take your profits now" that day. And Bumi Armada suffered a sharp fall to below 4.00 that day.

The analysts will adjourn to a pub nearby for happy hours cheap beer after office hour to talk to each other about how to survive in this volatile and unpredictable market condition. They most probably will issue the same recommendation to save their ass. At the end of the year, they can tell their bosses that their performance is almost at par with the other analysts. This is the way to save their high paying job.

The price of a stock be it undervalue or overvalue has nothing to do with its nature of business
The management should focus on doing its business so as to bring in good profit to the company rather than the quote of its stock unless the management wants to manipulate
the share price to its advantage. What is the aim of trying to impress the analysts ? I'm sure it won't increase its revenue or EPS, so try to reason out why the management want to impress the analysts.

perhaps this counter is exposure to external risk like the recent IPP issue in India, etc....Think fund manager won't put much money in it due to the volatile of share prices...see, from 2.20 to 3.00 (36%) from Jan to Mar, dropped back to 2.50 in April....just my twp-cents

ya jacklew maybe volatility is one of the reasons..since the poison letter case with the SC,,the counter had lost it s bullishness.. maybe the other cause is because of the ESOS,, is affecting it

volatility is correct. Fund analysts tend to shun away from them. Also, there were some shareholders resistence after the SC debacles. This led to the resignation of the previous MD. With CIL still not signed the FSA despite Presidential orders, its still anyone's guess although technically all construction within the 2011-2013 timeframe must be sign by end of the year. . Its good, therefore, on TRADING buy as it is. My personal take is, when the IPP1 starts generating,scheduled on 1H 2013, TP will be reached. @3,68
