Sometime end last year i have told ppl here to cut loss and move out coz the result will not be good due to new accounting system. Unfortunately wuhan virus and now the bribery hit blow after blows to AA. From RM1.90 plus dropped down to now almost half reaching. Find the right time to cut loss and find other better potentials. If you know your plane is on fire, you be damn stupid not to jump off with a parachute. Do not follow advise from this lunatic Paktua73. Think he just came out from Tg. Rambutan with the manner he calls you guys his troop. He has been asking idiots to buy and keep since the day when all the prices are higher before and look where are the ups now? Revisit AA only after all dust are settled, meanwhile go for better options. I seriously doubt this year is anytime good for AA. There wont be much goreng either as TF ass is also kena goreng now. So be prepared.

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 3): AirAsia Group Bhd co-founders Tan Sri Tony Fernandes and Datuk Kamarudin Meranun have denied all allegations of wrongdoing or misconduct in relation with the Airbus SE corruption charges, which implicated two executives from the low-cost carrier.
In a joint statement, the duo referred to the Airbus Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) where the European aircraft manufacturer confessed to bribing executives of their clients to secure sales of their aircraft including two unnamed AirAsia “key decision-makers”.
Fernandes and Kamarudin, who have relinquished their executive roles today after news broke — which has prompted investigations by three Malaysian authorities — said the DPA was made without any reference to them, and that no explanations were sought from them.
“This is in clear violation of fundamental legal principles of fairness.
“We categorically deny any and all allegations of wrongdoing or misconduct on our part as directors of AirAsia. We would not harm the very companies that we spent our entire lives building up to their present global status,” they said.
The duo also welcomed any investigations by the authorities, and vouched to extend their fullest cooperation.
"So, as to facilitate a full and independent investigation by AirAsia, we are relinquishing our executive roles with immediate effect for a period of two months, or such other period that the companies may deem fit," they added.
Earlier today, The Edge Financial Daily, citing UK court documents it sighted, reported Airbus allegedly bribed officials at AirAsia and sister company AirAsia X Bhd with some US$50 million to facilitate the sale of its aircraft between 2005 and 2014.
The funds were used to sponsor an unnamed sports team that was jointly owned by two AirAsia executives but were legally unrelated to both airlines.
According to Reuters, the sports team in question is the Caterham F1 racing team which went defunct in 2014. The team was bought over by Fernandes and Kamarudin in 2011.
On Saturday (Feb 1), AirAsia issued a statement saying it was neither involved “in any way whatsoever” with the UK's investigation of Airbus, nor given any opportunity to provide any information or clarification to the UK authorities.
Meanwhile, AirAsia announced in a stock exchange filing this evening that it has formed a non-executive independent board committee to act on the allegation.
Concurrently, Fernandes was redesignated from group CEO to a non-executive director, while Kamarudin was redesignated from executive chairman to non-executive chairman.
In the interim, AirAsia has appointed its deputy group CEO (airlines) Tharumalingam Kanagalingam as acting CEO, following the committee’s recommendation.

Who makes more money traders or investors?

Traders mostly make money from other traders, but global Alpha—the net return of all traders—is probably around $100 billion a year. So all investors make about 100 times as much as all traders. On the other hand, there are many more investors than traders, and the variance among them is greater.

On the outset, this case is straight forward.

You know why Ah Jib got prosecuted in SRC case first (instead of 1MDB etc)? Because the government has a strong case and easy to prove.

Ya, Najib and TF abang adik, but the term won't be long (if any).

If TF and MK do not co-operate, then Airasia will be in a very difficult position.

The morale of the story, jail few months jail term is better than bankruptcy.

其實想深一層,實情可能是AAE1和AAE2利用空巴把亞航的錢抽出來用,有點阿吉哥和豬玀利用一馬的套路的味道。大概是當時管帳的手下不太識做吧,搞到老闆要出屎橋偷錢。

AirAsia has clarified that its aircraft purchase decisions from Airbus were never premised on sponsorships and its sponsorship of Caterham F1 was properly conducted via due internal assessment and approvals before being considered and approved by the board.

AirAsia further stated that aircraft purchase agreements were a collective board’s decision arrived at after careful evaluation and deliberation.

This entails account technical specifications, flight performance and operating economics besides superior reliability and attractive pricing.

Good corporate social responsibility :)

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 3): A special aircraft sent by the Malaysian government on a mission to bring back its 141 citizens, their spouses and children from Wuhan, which has been locked down by the Chinese authorities due to the 2019 novel coronavirus outbreak, left for China this afternoon.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said AirAsia flight AK8264 left for Wuhan at about 3.50pm with 12 crew and eight members of the mission from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2).

“The aircraft also carried 500,000 pairs of gloves as contribution to the Chinese government in its operations to fight the 2019-nCoV outbreak in the republic,” she said in a statement today.

Azizah, who is also Central Disaster Managament Committee chairman, said all the 141 Malaysian citizens, their spouses and children would be required to go through health screening at the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, before being allowed to board the plane back to Malaysia.

However, how long the health screening will take, as well as the immigration process and time of departure from Wuhan cannot be determined yet, she added.

Dr Wan Azizah said on arrival in Malaysia, all 167 people onboard (comprising 141 Malaysian citizens, their spouses and children, 12 crew, eight members of the mission and six officers from the Malaysian Embassy in Beijing) would go through another heath screening at the Air Disaster Unit (ADU) of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

“Those detected with the symptoms will immediately be sent to hospital , while others will be taken by bus to a monitoring centre, where they will undergo observation for 14 days,” she said, adding that the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) will inform their families in Malaysia on the flight details, the health screening and the quarantine period.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 143.78 points, or 0.51%, to 28,399.81. The S&P 500 gained 23.4 points, or 0.73%, to 3,248.92 and the Nasdaq Composite added 122.47 points, or 1.34%, to 9,273.40.

NEW YORK: The dollar strengthened and a gauge of global stocks jumped on Monday, lifted by an unexpected rebound in U.S. manufacturing that helped temper fears that caused stocks overnight in Asia to plunge on the potential impact of the coronavirus in China.

Gold fell 1%, retreating from a four-week high, as China's efforts to protect its economy from the virus and the injection of 1.2 trillion yuan ($174 billion) worth of liquidity into the markets helped stem inflows into safe-haven assets.
