Global airlines are on the hook for US$35 billion in refunds from unused tickets, worsening a cash crunch that is likely to see some carriers go bankrupt. That prompted the global industry body to plead with travellers to accept travel vouchers instead.
According to projections made by the IATA, air carriers are likely to register a net loss of US$39 billion from April to June. Airlines typically have a cash reserve of about two months’ cash.

One thing I learned from Philip is to check if company is doing whether company is doing share buybacks or management buying its shares.

If the company management itself isn't confident in itself, why should others?

I understand if AA doesn't have sufficient cash, but aren't why doesn't any top management showing some confidence to its investors?

Maybe I'm just noob in business. AA after all has survived a turbulent decade.
