Just curious, when all this over, AA still have a lot of debts to be cleared. Is it easier to form a new airline company? Or continue to run AA and clear the debts after maybe 3-5 years?

Or is it possible that MAS will eventually acquire AA with "daddy's" help? AA market cap is only 3.8B.

Someone will come up with a new airline that can provide cheaper fares compared to AA, the reason is this new Airline will not have huge debt like AA. Will this new airline succeed? nobody knows, depends. But if run well, it is impossible for AA to compete due to AA's large gigantic big debts.

i cannot think of a better time to start a new airline than today. just one year ago when air travel are booming there are very limited landing slot, airplane have very long order backlog, experience staffs all have well paid job. Now landing slots are open, airplanes available, and alot of experienced pilots and staff are unemployed.

a new airline will start with much lower cost base to AA

Starting an airline doesn't mean you can fly from destination A to destination B immediately. You will also need to apply for flight routes which can take many years especially for popular routes like the KL-SG route.

Some of the people here really don't have a clue what they are talking about, they talk as if a newly formed airline will be able to fly just about anywhere.

funding comes from :
1) Danajamin - 1 billion
2) Right issue - 800 - 1 billion
3) Thai Bank - 500 million
this 2.5 billion is enough to last AA until 2023 in worst case situation.

Domestic flight still available but flight frequencies reduce. AA still has some sales revenue from dosmestic sector. i took the fight from Kch to Miri yestesday. Full house .
before Covid, domestic sector contributed 50% of the sales revenues.unlike Singapore airline which doesn't has domestic sector. AA will bounce back faster.
I dare to buy because when there are a lot of 'issues" / doubts, only then i can still buy at low low price. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK
