The takeover code says fair value must be offered to warrant holders

In the event they take back warrants, they have to take into consideration time value of money

The warrants still have 4 years to go ? That is a lot of time value there based on black schole

Thank you for your comments brother Icon8888. But frankly when they said fair value, I really don't trust them . I remember before there are so many instances that like they offer very low price when they take over etc etc, that is after they said FAIR VALUE, and all appeals have gone to deaf ears.

This case is different. It is not a take over. It is a swap

Everybody is migrating to a new entity

No any one party is taking over other parties

So there will not be compulsory acquisition of warrants etc

The most likely scenario is to issue replacement warrants taking into consideration new economics

The Deed Poll is the document that governs the way warrants are to be handled

There are formulas inside there to stipulate what should be done in the event of corporate exercise etc

It is standard format

Grab hold of any copy and you can read about it

Go ask BIMB company secretary if you want to access the document

When they issue the warrants in 2013 at exercise price of 4.75, their corporate planning would have already factor in potential inflow of this huge sum

They are looking forward to receiving this huge amount of cash and would have already figured out what to do with it for next phase of growth

It is unlikely they out of the blue would want to take them over and cancel them

They don't gain anything by doing that. They want the warrants to be exercised so that they can get the cash

That is another reason you don't need to worry about being taken over

no brother Nicholasming91, exercise price is RM$4.72 and since now mother is RM4.4 and another 32 cents we reach the exercise price, so after that the price of warrant may shoot I presume. In fact we are rather safe as the expiry date is still a long way to go.

So, in fact I will be buying more & more and hoping for a big bonanza in the not too far future.
