Another H1 dividend declared of 22cents with Q2 PAT of RM850 million. Past 2 quarters of profits have been on the decline trend. Hopefully, with economy gradually reopening next quarter earnings will increase.

He he ..I think I was quite right again - good QR with good dividend of 22 sen announced today. This is a solid stock to buy and keep for long term and collect good dividends. Better than keeping money in FD. Nothing much to worry and can sleep well too.

A couple of surprises in the quarterly.

Revenue was higher than I'd expected, with almost a Rm1 Billion increase from the previous quarter.....very good.
Net Profit lower than I had hoped. My guesstimate was around Rm900 million but due to a few impairments actual NP came in at Rm821.5 million......marginally disappointing because of the impairments.

Rolling 4 quarters EPS now stands at 70.20 cents. Using Tenaga's 5 year average PE of 15.8 gives a "value" of Rm11.10 per share.

A pity about the impairments, however a good result with solid revenue, which considering the Covid restrictions is very promising.

TreeTopView , ok Will wait till 11.00 - 11.20 region, yet still have to grapple with the emotions of selling. Still learning to swing trade and sticking to the plan. We can't predict impairments as we usually don't have the privy to their accounting decisions.

Something that is in this quarterly that is quite significant is the revenue. This is the highest revenue figure in the last 8 quarters.

Surprising.....and very impressive, especially in the current Covid environment. Perhaps a good indicator for future growth potential?

I mentioned yesterday morning that once 10.20 had been back tested it should move up to the 10.36- 10.42 region. Currently at 10.38, so perhaps a bit earlier than I'd thought but nice to see it at this price region.

Too early to say if this area is short term resistance, or if the price is going to break though and use the price region as an eventual support.

5,726,091,371 ordinary shares for the financial year ending 31 December 2021 amounting to

The books closure and payment dates will be announced in due course.
The final single tier and special single tier dividends for Financial Year 2020 were paid on 16 April

An interim dividend of 22 cents was announced in this week's quarterly. No ex date or payment date has been announced yet

There will be an announcement around the middle of September stating the Ex Date, the Ex Date will be around late September. Payment will be made around mid October.

Trust me.. i have seen this before, the price up few days before qr, then company announce good qr, then many IB give TP high, then suddenly the price when down and sideways.. i will explain how all these IB make profit from bilis.... like this.. 1st, few days or weeks before qr (which they already know good qr) they bought like crazy, to push the price.. for us bilis, we still dont know and still waiting for qr first.. 2nd, on the day of the qr, these black heart IB will lure you all with so many high TP, then all bilis bought it believing the high TP. 3rd, on the same day, actually at the back, they already started to do RSS, more bilis will bought high and these IB will start selling slowly but painfully. BTW, they are not selling their own share, they RSS EPF and others shares... giving a good commission to EPF, they will push the price down and sideways for the next 3 month until next qr.. so guys, be prepare to sell or you will need to hold for another 2 to 3 months, otherwise, sell now, and buy back just 1 month before the next qr.. good luck guys.

Great advice killshorties, that's how the game is played. Just beat them at their own game. Anyway, won't really affect serious long term shareholders especially those who bought it cheap. Else you may want to be nimble and take advantage of the volatility. Sell and buy back lower like what EPF likes to do. Cheers.

Foreign buying extends to third week, surges to RM964.3m

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 30): Foreign buying of Malaysian equities extended for the third week and surged to RM964.33 million last week, from a paltry RM6.71 million the prior week.

In its weekly fund flow report today, the MIDF Research team said as the market reopened last Monday, foreign investors were net buyers amounting to RM6.7 million.

Meanwhile, it said local institutions bought RM19.16 million net of local equities, with retailers as net sellers to the tune of RM25.86 million.

The research house said foreign investors were net buyers every day of the week.

It said the largest foreign inflow was recorded last Thursday to the tune of RM310.79 million, while the inflow of RM6.7 million last Monday was the smallest.

“As for retailers, they were net sellers every day of the week except on Monday.

“The largest net selling by retailers was recorded last Tuesday and the smallest net selling was on Friday to the tune of RM48.43 million and RM16.88 million respectively.

“Cumulatively, for the week, retailers net sold RM113.96 million worth of equities on Bursa Malaysia,” it said.

MIDF said that meanwhile, local institutions recorded cumulative weekly net selling to the tune of RM850.37 million.

It said local institutions were net sellers every day of the week, with the largest net selling on Thursday to the tune of RM290.41 million.

Since the beginning of 2021, cumulatively, retailers were the only net buyers of the local equity market to the tune of RM9.46 billion.

Local institutions and foreign investors were net sellers to the tune of RM4.46 billion and RM5 billion respectively.

“In terms of participation, retail investors, local institutions and foreign investors recorded weekly movements of -3.82%, 9.89% and 16.82% respectively in average daily trade value (ADTV),” it said.
