Singapore said the city-state was “gravely concerned” by Russia’s announcement of what it called a “special military operation” in Ukraine’s Donbas region.

“Singapore strongly condemns any unprovoked invasion of a sovereign country under any pretext. We reiterate that the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine must be respected,” the ministry said in a statement.

“We hope military actions will cease immediately; and urge a peaceful settlement of the dispute, in accordance with the UN Charter and international law.”

Indonesia’s foreign ministry said in a statement that Jakarta was concerned about “the escalation of the armed conflict in Ukraine” because it endangers the people and peace in the Asian region.

“Affirming that international law and the United Nations charter regarding the territorial integrity of a country must be adhered to, and condemning any action that clearly constitutes a violation of the territory and sovereignty of a country,” ministry spokesman Teuku Faizasyah read out from the statement.

Indonesian President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo posted on Twitter – without referring to Russia or Ukraine: “Stop the war. War brings misery to mankind and puts the whole world at risk.”

China organized a tri-nation navy exercise last month.
Iran, Russia, China Hold Joint Naval Drill in the northern Indian Ocean. On the way back, the Russian warships return instead to the Black Sea

Well maybe it’s just a coincidence these warships are now being used to fire missiles that hit residential apartments and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine

Totally agree with you Dicky. Two sides to a story, always. Simpleton like me used to think the US was always the good guy, policeman of the world. I was so wrong. Just grateful there are other superpowers like China and Russia to give them a taste of their own medicine. China cannot and will not be bullied anymore.

Was it against international law? For each naval exercise that China holds with friendly countries, the US has held 5 to 10 such exercises with its allies like Australia, Japan the UK etc, often in the South China Sea. Did you mean during the exercise, the Russian navy was using residential apartments and civilian infrastructures as targets?

Indian Ocean where got buildings la, what I meant was the exercise was planned so that Russian warships can move from the Artic sea to Indian Ocean then go to the Black Sea for Ukraine bombing operations.

3 ocean/sea here so you might need to look up google earth

My monthly consumption of electricity is same with +- 5% fluctuation.

The amount I paid for that amount a few years back is now hiked 180%.

I can only say this monopoly is run by robbers.
