Hi folks, i know some of us can get upset when our views are not recognised and we can get upset when someone has a different view on stock. But can i request we do NOT respond by attacking each other or calling each other liar. Eg I fully agree with dragon328 that we are here to make money as well as to value each other opinion. If someone makes a claim that they can predict the market like a guru but have no proof to back it, ignore him. And those who are giving good views and analysis like dragon 328 and cgtan2020 should be appreciated because they do provide quite good analysis. If you want to fight a war, there are so many other forums you can fight lah.. no need to fight here

The share price of YTLPower breaks new high, the share price also crossed above major resistance at 2.24 convincingly.
It means the correction mode is over.
It is very rare to see the share price of YTLPower to drop below 1.88 again.
If you are a TA expert, you will not tell the readers here that the share price of YTLPower will drop back to 1.70 or 1.28.
Basically, this person is twisting the facts to suit him or simply twisting the chart pattern to suit him which is displaying a wrong picture here.

Moreover, the Utilities Index also breaks new high like the technical chart of YTLPower.

Both weekly charts of Utilities and YTLPower, Parabolic SAR and weekly MACD are showing a buy signal respectively which indicate a strong uptrending is forming.
Once the weekly MACD is showing a buy signal, the uptrending trend will last for a long period of time.
I am not surprised that the share price of YTLPower will hit 2.90 soon.

And to add further to xiaochen's TP-sharing -
Most analysts have set their FY24E PAT targets at RM2b to RM2.1b, so within the FY23 actual PAT; very conservative and now find behind market price trends of late !
Some outliers - two < RM2b, and two > RM2.5b; the former two need to catch up !
The main pack may soon uplift their TPs, or wait till end Nov, when 1QFY24 results are announced; but I don't think they want to be caught out AGAIN, like what's happening now !
Furthermore, only ONE analyst has included the upcoming data centre as part of his SoP valuation, when targeted commissioning is by 1QC2024. Easily, another 10-15 sen per share.... So why the hesitation ?

Singapore plans investments bill to strengthen national security

A Ministry of Trade and Industry statement on Friday said a proposed Significant Investments Review Bill seeks to allow the government to review ownership or control transactions involving entities considered critical to security.

(Nov 3): Singapore plans to introduce a bill that sets out a new investment management regime for investors in a bid to ensure the continuity of so-called “critical entities”.

A proposed Significant Investments Review Bill seeks to allow the government to review ownership or control transactions involving entities considered critical to security, according to a statement from the Ministry of Trade and Industry on Friday.

The government will be empowered “to review ownership or control transactions involving an entity that has acted against Singapore’s national security interests”, it said.

While Singapore already relies on a range of sectoral laws, which include ownership and control safeguards, to monitor and manage entities in regulated sectors such as telecommunications, banking and utilities, the new bill seeks to create a level playing field for both local and foreign investors by applying the rules to all equally.

Designated entities will also be subject to other provisions including not being able to be voluntarily wind up or be dissolved without consent.

“It is critical for Singapore to r
emain open and connected to the world, and as such we must continually strengthen our position as a trusted hub for businesses to invest with confidence,” Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong said. “We expect only a handful of critical entities to be designated under this bill.”

Here are some key details of the proposed bill:

Buyers into designated entities are required to notify after becoming a 5% controller
Must seek approval before becoming a 12%, 25%, or 50% controller, an indirect controller, or acquiring as a going concern (parts of) the business or undertaking
Sellers are required to seek approval when ceasing to be a 50% or 75% controller
Transactions that occur without the necessary approvals will be rendered void
Materially affected parties can apply for validation notices
Office of Significant Investments Review will be set up under MTI
