True, SCOMI involves in Energy, Infrastructure & Equipments Services. Government has assigned both important country infrastructure projects of Large Scale Solar Energy Supply & Monorail Transportation projects to SCOMI means SCOMI has got hope. The monorail project secured recently is just a bonus for SCOMI. Actually SCOMI has sealed a deal with Tenaga Nasional Bhd for 30MWac Large Scale Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant on a build-own-operate basis and with power purchase for 21 years from Dec 31, 2018 the commercial operation date, at Bandar Sungai Petani, Kuala Muda, Kedah.

i_investor, was there any anouncement made by the Company that the Large Scale Solar Plant has commenced commercial operation on 31/12/18 ? I did not hear or see any news on its timeline progress since the announcement in the Star 2017. Surely, an announcement has to be made on the progress, be it delayed, terminated or commercial generation has started.

i_investor, today is 26/04/19. 31/12/2018 which is supposed to start commercial production at the Large Scale Solar Plant in the statement from Scomi. So, is the Solar Plant project terminated, work-in-progress, delayed for whatever reason or already in commercial operation ? Where is the official announcement from Scomi/TNB to put the matter to a comfimation ? Would appreciate one more round of your homework to enlighten not only me but many Scomi followers out there as well. Thanking you in advance.

This is old news but it's coming. The PTMP will start early of next year but so far no company awarded this project BRT-LRT-Monorail project. So far only two company (Scomi & China company) submitted the quotation to Penang Government.
