yes, i know Scomien tried to make the jump for MRT in India and Philippines too because that's where the money is. but they are not capable yet! That is why i think its good they have IJM, because civil construction plays a big part in the overall scheme! :)

and yes, the driverless system is mentioned very vividly when Mitsubishi got it! Shah is only back in favor recently, as mentioned previously in one of my earlier postings. For Najib, i think he is banking on the O&G play to pull the economy out of external shocks next year besides the tried and tested big construction tenders. so waiting to see what happens especially with Scomimr & IJM :)

whilst we both have come to an agreement that 60sens is reachable, where i differ is when the awarding of MOF will influence the balance for upward bias or not. You state with MOF, 60sens is only arrived.

it is in my opinion, that the MOF will increase the price due to the fact that the disposal is already gaining back about near 60 sens. current ratio will have a calculated value of 0.99, ie almost one dollar asset for one dollar debt! This is in FY 2011. What Scomi's mistake is in the acid test ratio, being cash strap by a big margin causing it to nearly default in debt rating.

with the incoming 60 sens, a turnaround of business and the awaited news of MOF, surely we can deduce that 60+ sens and above is possible.

Of course, the most salient point is how management play its cards.

whilst analysts and CFAs and what have you are paid top dollars cannot agree on a same TP, i think its ok if we have a difference of valuation also. So please continue with giving us your inputs! So far, it is my conviction that it is definitely above 62 sens FV before the MOF.

The American giants are preparing for the fiscal cliff because by next year the rich and corporate giants will be taxed more. In all probability, they are starting to adjust their accounting for future along with the current weak sentiments both in Europe and East Asia. They are adjusting revenue downward for the upcoming US fiscal cliff. I only hope the Republicans dont get the Presidency or they will cause massive problems if they choose not to bite the bullet and swallow the bitter pill of limited spending and higher tax now! On the other hand, i have this distrust of Democrat Obama! Freemason? hehehe

However, how did you arrive at the valuation of the MOF contracts? We don't know the value that will be dished out by Petronas, yes?
