Mbb already expected a 18/19 pct drop in profit. Look at their report yesterday morning ma. This is expected . We are buying for future. Yinson’s Main business FPSO not busses anymore.
At the very least I doubt Yinson wiont he like some other counters drop like bjcorp mpcorp etc drop n drop . Scary .

Someone is trying to take undue credit by trying to appear as an expert investor.

This is his tracked portfolio with all his comments and subscriptions for this year.

Calvin will always be Calvin. He buys 50 stocks, but the point is even if some stocks gain 2000%, if you are unable to identify them clearly and concentrate your investments, your total return will still be a waste of time, as you will not have the foresight to put large concentrated capital into big bets.

I only have 6 stocks, gkent, PCHEM, STNE for this year, YINSON, QL, TOPGLOV which I held and kept buying and adding my position continuously for 10 years now.

Which would have the better performance, the one who has 50 stocks but only 50 lots in his 2000% return stocks? Or those who have 5 stocks, but has 50000 lots in the 2000% turn stocks.

That's why calvin will never tell you how much he put into those stocks, only his "returns".

He forever lives with the regret of not having the foresight and capability of judging investments and putting large capital behind his stocks, buy chooses to hide behind "diversification", or as Peter lynch puts it, diworsification.

i think that is the problem when you are monitoring 50 stocks in the portfolio, it is hard to keep track in detail how your business is doing. it is far easier to just take a cursory look at the share price and stock trend and quarterly report to see how things are doing now, but probably hard to see how things will be like 5 years from now tee hee hee..

I still prefer philips way of doing things.

Ya I feel that people who don’t study n analyse on a particular counter shouldn’t be commenting . Main business is FPSO he thinks it is bus how to comment . N he didn’t know the son is v instrumental in building this business and he is still young .
Dedicated management ...market cap kept increasing unlike some shares kept tumbling down nta high also useless if quarter n quarter kept losing money
And yes - already mentioned EPF has a trading block . But they are also substantial shareholder . If retailers have capacity to trade mother shares like epf then by all means. I don’t hv the skill to trade this counter- mother shares .

Epf has a trading block for years di la . Check. They dispose big who buys fm them big. Definitely not small retailers I would think .

Happy with your gains just sell. You think it is fair value to you di just sell .

Only thing is don’t say out of context things like the management will not be able to succeed overseas etc. or that the founder sud just sell n retire. .

Sumitomo funding I believe is cheap - just personal view. .
