Since its MACD is on up trend, and after the profit taking, I think the langgat 2 water play and its teaming up with Eco Word will eventually push its price up further. Buy on weakness.

Agree with Alex, the timing of Salcon is wrong, PM is going to curb speculative property prices in the coming budget, moreover, in Johor, the bumiputra quota is 40% with 15% discount, the scenario is tough

What i see is property is going to expensive as gov keep sapu out the no permit construction worker, who is gonna hit bad? The developer will have to paid more labour cost

SALCON will consider a special dividend for shareholders followg the disposal of water assets in China for RM518.3mil, expects its new property development business to contribute higher earnings than its water n waste water concession business in 2 years.

SALCON is scheduled to launch a RM1bil mixed development project in Johor next year, a project it is jointly developing with Eco World Development Sdn Bhd , a Co linked to SP SETIA BHD's Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin.

SALCON, meanwhile has tendered for RM1.7bil of projects, which include the Langat 2 water treatment plant.

The future of SALCON looks bright if it is under the stewardship of Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin, who is expected to leave SP SETIA BHD by year 2015 as contractually agreed with Khazanah Nasional Bhd.

The Star has a big write up on Eko World, I was wrong, didn’t know that they have big land bank all over the places, my calculation was wrong. Looking at the size, if Tan Sri LKS wish to use Salcon as his back door listing vehicle, he can easily control Salcon by pumping in some of its land. They didn't even mention about the JV with Salcon in today's write up. Hard to predict now, Salcon will only good if he comes in, but looking at the size of Eko World, they may not need Salcon, why want to come in to carry the burden of Salcon existing staffs who are not familiar with property? The only way for him to come in is for Salcon to continue to sell and clear all its non property business

The write up suggested that its share TP is 78 cts, 87 cts n 91 cts which r all above the present price given the fact that it has disposed its water concessions in China at a tune of 500 m to concentrate on its latest JV Eco- World. Since Salcon is controlled n managed by his son n he is going to leave SP Setia soon , the possibility is great that Salcon will be the right vehicle for him to launch a new venture which he is old at hand ie property.

I think the future prospects for SALCON is extremely bright, since SPSETIA's Tan Sri Liew KS son's Co Eco World Development Sdn Bhd hv already joined with SALCON currently undertaking several property development projects in KL & Johor & also bought a lot of land for future development.

Can consider accumulating SALCON when the price is on consolidation phase. Good luck.

The picture is very sharp & clear that SPSETIA Tan Sri Liew Kee Sin is planning to exit fr SPSETIA, currently held by Khazanah Nasional Bhd being the majority shareholder by year 2015.

He would then be joining Eco World Development Sdn Bhd's board to steer the Co to greater height just like SPSETIA' DNA history. As v can see at presently almost 120 personels fr Eco World Development Sd Bhd r ex staffs of SPSETIA ranging fr board of directors, CEO, finance, managers, management & supervisory staffs,etc.

At a later stage Tan Sri Liew might b planning for a corporate exercise either by joint venture or becoming a majority shareholder of SALCON & shall group together with Eco World Development Sdn Bhd for future listing.
