Don't so early dismiss hibiscus. Rome also not built in 1 day. I believed management is building strong foundation for tis company. Management unable to control share price but can manage the company well. Give 6 months. If oil price hover around 80, I think it just matter of time only.

I would have thought hibiscus would trade between 0.85-0.90 range at 82 brent until clarity over repsol acquisition, like the eventual cost, profits added at forecasted brent crude price.

I think the world is much better prepared to cope with this new variant than when the Virus outbreak took place early 2020 (with zero knowledge and no vaccine then) Global investors having gone thru steep plunge and also experienced swift recovery in stock prices , will probably behave more rationally this round. In any case, the scientific information about this new variant is yet to come.

So what happens if OPEC+ decided not to increase production from Jan 2022 and Omicron turns out to be not so damaging?

@kahhoeng, agree with you.

Better prepare for holding Hibiscus at least 6 to 12 months if plan to buy the dips.

I think the keyword for next year crude oil market is "spare capacity". It will be very interesting to see crude price movement at second half of CY2022 after OPEC+ announces they finish their spare capacity and US shale oil producers still refuse to increase oil production.

I also think this Omicron variant might help to form start of a new bull supercycle of crude oil.
