The Edge Weekly reported that Government of Singapore Investment Corp (GIC) could be the strategic investor, eyeing a stake of 20 to 25% in Sunway’s healthcare unit. News of divesting a stake in Sunway Healthcare is known among investors but the exact stake and pricing is still not known. We believe pricing paid by strategic investor would take into account the existing profitable Sunway Medical and good progress made by new hospital, Sunway Velocity. We maintain our forecast and reiterated our BUY call with an unchanged TP of RM2.11 based on SOP-derived valuation.

What people think..,
i) Normal people: Yes, gaining momentum, to the stars!
ii) Other people: Nope, not going to let it fly, I'm gonna sell 20 lots from time to time to keep the price low.

What is actually happening ...,
i) The same peopletrying to collect at a reasonable price occasionally selling down to prevent the price from going to the stars before they can collect enough.

When most stocks were in the red today, Sunway still gained so market seems to be receptive to the sale. Insider has also started buying with volume activity climbing above average the last few days. Better strap seatbelts, engine is starting...

Enter this counter at "reasonable" prc level, nvr over estimated; as it was at level of 1.28 last Yr during d pendamic and many of its completed ppties are unsold; including those spore developments. Hospital at velocity rather quiet eventhough its construction had been completed. Like other biz, these areas are still burning $.

Unless, to invest only for M to L term. I ody bought in some lately. Good luck to us whom had jumped in the bandwagon

SHH Stake Disposal price at EV/EBITDA 31.33 compare to IHH Current price at 19.08 and KPJ 13.85. In PE is around 80+ compare to IHH just 56. Bravo, Sunway sell at high premium price.

You must also look at the traded volume. There must be a buyer and seller. A bunch of contra sellers vs a bunch of willing buyers at 1.7.

The ratio of buy:sell queue is 3:1 today.

Payment through tranches. Payment by GIC will be in 5 different tranches over c.4 years upon completion of the issuance and subscription of the share to optimise capital management to ensure efficiency in their cash flow.

Key transaction terms. GIC is to receive a preferred dividend yield of 3% p.a. based on the invested amount. As GIC is investing based on Sunway Healthcare’s strategic expansion plan, the company has agreed to give GIC the right to receive additional shares and a cash top up in order to meet a minimum ringgit-IRR of 12.5%. The share and cash top up is capped at 4.5% (of enlarged share capital) and USD10m respectively if the IPO is completed by 31 Jan 2028. However, if the IPO is delayed, the share and cash top up will progressively increase on a monthly basis until a ceiling of 11.5% (of enlarged share capital) and USD50m respectively is reached on 30 June 2029 and will remain at this level till the IPO is completed. If Sunway doesn’t meet their obligations (i.e. Sunway does not complete the proposed IPO by 30 June 2029), GIC will be entitled to an exit through exercise of a put option or a joint sale of the business to enable GIC to achieve a minimum USD IRR of 18.5%.

Now I understand why in the upcoming AGM, Sunway wants to establish the re-investment of dividend. We're probably going to see some healthy dividends in the coming quarters. The next big thing for Sunway is the re-opening of the economy, continuous headlines on being the ESG champion and digitalization of their property arm.

Can't do much about it today, it's still pretty much T+2 selling after the surge in buying on Monday and Tuesday. I can surmise that a large portion of contra players have been weeded out. The bulk of it went to buyers at a price above 1.70, which is promising moving forward.

Cheah family, if you're reading this, please don't drop the ball in the coming 2 weeks. The momentum is there and both Malaysians and Singaporeans are looking at you to maintain the performance.
